“The perfect getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

It's difficult to explain just what good value this rental is!
The location is perfect. It's within treasonable walking distance of Llandudno and Deganwy, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. No worries about finding a parking space if you've been out for the day, as there would be if you'd booked a place in Llandudno itself, for example.
The minute you walk in to the Lodge, you feel relaxed. It was lovely to be greeted by vases of fresh flowers, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The place is newly decorated and is immaculately clean. Everything you could possibly need is provided, and fixtures and fittings are of high quality. The Lodge is warm and comfortable. Furthermore, it has character.
We took my elderly parents. They found it very "elderly-friendly". The dog settled in too (and the garden is securely fenced, so no worries about an escape).
The owners clearly respect those who rent the place; I hope everyone who visits shows the same respect for the owners because they thoroughly deserve it.
We would love to visit again.

“Little Gem.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Conwy Lodge, Llandudno. The picturesque surroundings complemented this high quality cottage, which has all the amenities you require for a relaxing, comfortable holiday. On our arrival, after a long drive we were pleased to see the owners had left us with milk, bread and biscuits which were gratefully received and such a nice warming gesture.

Our party consisted of myself, my husband and our 7 month old daughter and we found that the cottage was a home from home for us. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, we did not have to worry about bringing along a travel cot, as there is one located in the spacious first floor bedroom, which has the added bonus of an en-suite.

Our first evening was spent in the comfortable lounge, with the log burning stove lit, which created the most relaxing ambiance.

We will definitely be organising a return visit.

“Gingerbread House outside, warm as toast inside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 for a stay in February 2013

As a veteran of many Welsh holidays, I was concerned that staying in an older property in February, might be a little chilly and damp to say the least. In the event Conwy Lodge was really cosy and the hot water bottles I'd packed stayed in the suitcase. There were plenty of well seasoned logs provided for use in the burner and sitting round a real fire was a lovely end to each day.
The lodge has a lovely, well maintained garden, (the snowdrops were out and the daffodils just about to bloom when we were there) and it's large barbeque area must be great in the summer.
Eating at a table inside the lodge is a bit difficult if you are a group of 4 or more. There isn't really room to extend the dining table in the kitchen and still get to the oven. This is a minor niggle, which we solved by setting up the table in the living room when we wanted to be posh!
Overall there is plenty of living space and storage.
The location was perfect for us as we wanted to visit family in Rhos-on-Sea, which was a ten minute drive away. The centre of Llandudno was only a five minutes drive. Even off- season, Llandudno was welcoming, plenty of restaurants, and cafes open, along with a selection of interesting shops, not just the usual High Street chains. Our teenage daughters appreciated the shopping but were not too grown up to also enjoy tobogganing at the ski centre and playing The Penny Falls in the amusement arcade.
My final comment is to record my thanks to Nicole, the administrater for the Lodge and her Mum, who cleans it, (very well,I should add.) We inadvertantly left some items behind and Nicole and her Mum were very helpful in getting them back to us.
