“Lovely beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

We had a fantastic afternoon on the beach. The views along the north wales coast are fantastic and the weather was amazing. We ventured back during the evening & we were treated to one of the best sunsets imaginable with Puffin Island and Anglesea in the distance.

If your looking for a sandy beach in Llandudno go to west shore
Fantastic sunsets, safe for families, and you can take the coastal path and walk to Conwy.

“A nice day with young kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

In the nice weather we did a last minute trip to this bay. Quite a large bay with plenty of free parking. There was a paid car park too which was quite cheap ?£2.10 for 8hrs and ?£1.50 for 4hrs. There is one small cafe with an attached ice-cream shop. Good coffee/teas/hot & cold drinks. Good selection of simple meals and home made cakes. They have one other special offering - the only toilet in miles around. For use of 'customers only' you must get a key from the counter to get in. There were a few hundred there this weekend so be warned this isn't a quiet bay.

There are patches of shale but there is plenty of good white sand. The water is very calm - not much surf. There was a guard around though he seems to spend most of his time in a hut. No rock pools and there are signs not to climb on the rocks/surf breaks. No-one objects to BBQs. There is a small play area for young kids and a small pond with swans which people were feeding.

The whole area was clean, as is the water these days. There were a huge amount of jellyfish washed up.

Not a bad little beach but my personal preference is the slightly smaller coves or those with some more features at either end for the kids.

“Unspolit & picturesque”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

A lovely quiet beach with plenty of parking & gorgeous views from every direction. The only down side was the stinging jellyfish in the sea preventing me from swimming.
