“Weekend Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

I can see why this hotel wins the trip adviser awards, James and Aneta can't do enough for you and the welcome you get is fantastic. The sea view from the bedrooms at the front of the hotel has to be seen to be believed and the rooms are spotless and the beds comfortable. We stayed in Room 14 at the top of the hotel which means there's quite a few stairs to negotiate but that's the only downside, the breakfast is such high quality and the portions are huge - we didn't need to eat again until tea time! Would we go back? Oh yes, we're already planning our next visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room, you won't regret it

Many thanks to james for accomodating us after a real let down by one of the larger hotels, he was so kind and helpful nothing too much trouble, lovely man, we had room 2 at the back that suited us fine, what a beautiful bathroom and room,so spacious, very clean, we visit llandudno quite often and have never come across such a kind and helpful owner, breakfast was just great great selection, will come back to the wellington as often as you can fit us in james, with a smaller car next time,as ours was a bit too big to park, cant wait to get back to llandudno, you saved our week end and we are both so very greatful a big thank you.

I had a business trip up to Llandudno and stayed for only one night, but thought the Wellington Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The owner was extremely helpful and courteous throughout my stay which is hard to come by when I usually stay in chain hotels.
The room was a great size, with everything I could have needed and the view was spectacular looking out to sea.
A good variety of options for breakfast, with a very attentive and friendly waitress which was great.
Cant fault this hotel and look forward to staying there again when I am next in the area.

Room Tip: Front of the building for sea views, but all rooms seemed a really good size!

The hotel is perfectly positioned on the sea front, a minute's walk from the town centre and some lovely bars and restaurants ("Candles" restaurant is really good!).
After reading many reviews, I had high expectations of the hotel and was not disappointed!
James and Aneta are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble.
We stayed in Room 12, on the top floor and overlooking the sea front. A smallish, but perfectly formed room, although the bathroom is somewhat compact! It is obviously recently decorated, with nice carpet and furniture, flat screen TV and a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it!
We were lucky enough to claim one of the two available parking spaces behind the hotel, but there is parking available on the road outside and I have no doubt that James would be able to help advise of other places if there are no spaces left (there is room to load/unload outside the hotel).
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay - perfect position, beautiful hotel and really lovely hosts.
Thank you and hope to be down again soon (with the children next time)!

All the accolades that Aneta & James receive are so deserved. They go the extra mile to make everything perfect for all their guests. Nothing is to much trouble for them. The Wellington is just such a lovely small hotel but with everything you need to enjoy a perfect break in the lovely resort of llandudno.Thankyou both for being you. Ps your planted pots are so pretty.

Just arrived home after a great 5 days at The Wellington hotel, James and Aneta are great hosts we were warmly greeted and offered tea which was a blessing after our long Drive. We had a sea view room on the second floor, the room was spotless and the view of the promenade was a treat. My wife and I really appreciated the way James and Aneta went out there way to help with advise on trips, sites to see and where to enjoy a good meal, we were also blown away when we were given a bottle of wine for our anniversary.
At breakfast you are in for a treat as Aneta's home made jams are so delicious, my wife and I can be picky when it comes to food but that's no problem here as James will try his best to cook you what you want.
To finish I would just say we will defiantly be returning to the wellington next time we are in Llandudno.
