Probably the only municipally owned and run tramway in the country. This tramway dates from 1902 and has two sections, above and below the halfway station where you have to change trams. It is cable-hauled, so the expense of maintaining it to a safe standard is considerable, so the fares are higher than for a normal tramway. The lower section must have the steepest passenger railway section in Britain (I'm not counting balanced inclines such as Lynton or Bridgnorth) and only once has the tram come off the rails; that was long ago.
Crinolines, rugs, ear muffs, and fur gloves for ladies, padded jackets for gentlemen. If you go with a crop top you will have chilblains round your waist.
