My daughter and I had a Spa half day earlier this week.For.£75 half day spa you are ableto use the facilities of the gym, pool, jacuzzi and steam & sauna for 2 hours prior to your treatment. This gives you time to then shower and use the relaxation room until you are called for your chosen treatment. I chose the rejuvenating full body massage. Having had a massage here before I dont recall being given the option of this massage, we were recommended to try it by a guest who had just had the treatment prior to us going in for ours. The massage lasted an hour , the room was comfortable and the masseuse was an extremely pleasant lady who gave me a fantastic massage which truly left me feeling rejuvenated, i felt alert- and the world needs more lerts !! - and also relaxed , it was remarked how well I looked after when I met up with friends for lunch. I felt as if I had a spring in my step after feelinhg lathargic for quite some weeks after having my leg in plaster. I cant thank the masseuse enough and unfortunately dont recall her name- but dark haired and my treatment was Fri 26th @12pm- if she s reading this i

Stayed July weekend with glorious weather. Noting to beat sitting on terrace with Conwy Castle framed in the distance. Gardens are wonderful.

Some excellent staff but misses a finishing touch front of house. Reception is just that rather than a warm welcome and constant source of help. Manager appeared but no greeting or conversation.

Food in main restaurant very good, as was service. Food in bistro misses the mark. House champagne excellent

Stayed in cottage. Great for us as a family. Air con only in main bedroom, vital but needed elsewhere. Lovely piano in our sitting room but such a shame that needed minor repairs to be playable.

Spa and gym well equipped but watch out for one hour limit am/pm for children mon to Saturday.

Croquet available but only if you carry all the equipment yourself around the lawns....

Stayed here for 3 days with a group.Found most things very good.
My room was the Conwy suite. An excellent and large room.Decorated a little old fashioned in my view, but it does suit the hotel.
Had dinner in the main hall twice, food was okay, nothing special. And dinner in the bistro once.If the weather permits,do try and sit outside at the bistro, nice view from there.
Dinner at the bistro was standard.which is kinda less than you'd expect from a place like this.
Staff were a mixed bunch, some very nice and accomodating, others looked like they didn't wanna be there at all.

Beautyful grounds. And we were in luck as it was 28c when we were there, something that does not happen to often in Wales.
So a yes,if you are looking for a nice relaxed place with beautyful romantic grounds.
Not sure about young folks tho,we are 35/45 and felt the place was catered more toward a lil older crowd.

My husband booked this as a Spa break for my birthday.

We stayed in Gingerbread Cottage in the hotel grounds, the cottage was extremely cute, on two levels and with it's own private garden. As the weather was hot this month (July )and the bedroom on the top floor, it was rather warm up there ( no air con ) There is a high window also which allowed the sun rise to stream through, this is fine if you don't need a dark room to sleep in as I do, so it kept me awake from 4am !

The staff and service was excellent BUT don't expect wonderful food, it was really very over priced for what you get, and not much on the plate. We had the lamb as a main course and part of mine was extremely fatty and tough, I left some and did mention it to our waiter, unfortunately NO ONE got back to us with an apology, very disappointing.

You have to walk to another building to access the Spa, this is several hundred yards.

The Spa is OK but there is no heat and ice, or anything special, just a pool with a jacuzzi , sauna and small steam room at one end, this is OK if you don't want all the extras of a good Spa ! I did have a full body massage and pedicure the next morning which was fine.

The hotel grounds are beautiful and the location very good with views of Conwy Castle.

Room Tip: If you want to use the Spa often, ask for accommodation near by.

We stayed here the night before our civil ceremony and we couldn't have been happier.

We stayed in the gingerbread cottage and it felt like we were in a fairy tail!!! Contrary to some of the other reviews, the decor in this cottage was incredible!

Every single member of staff could not do enough to help and make our stay as perfect as possible.

It is a little pricey, but we feel as though we got value for money.

A big thank you to all of the staff who helped to make the start of our weekend so perfect!

We stayed in the Garden Cottage, quite nice, if a little tired, the garden was OK, and the grounds beautiful, looking over Conwy Castle. But the food was absolutely awful, never have I eaten such bad food in such an expensive hotel. Someone shoot the chef! or at least send him back to chef college. We ate dinner in the main fine dining restaurant. To start, I had a tomato and goats cheese salad, and it was just what it said on the tin! no dressing, nothing to make it special, except the price, of £11! I followed this with Sea Bass served with samphire, but limp off looking piece os sea bass turned up with no samphire, the chef forgot! £30...Really!! Deserts were £12.50 each, so needless to say we didn't have one. We went back to our room to eat the 3 biscuits that were in the tin, as we were still hungry. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also really stuffy, you felt like you had to whisper to each other, and this felt really uncomfortable.

Went here for afternoon tea. It was lovely and you definately get treated like royalty, but it is very expensive for what you get.
There were lovely cakes and a good variety of tea which was good. The sandwiches were also very nice. This would be good for adults, but I don't think it's very suited to children.

Beautiful gardens include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a rockery with a cascade, a walled rose garden, and several follies.
