“2nd visit this year and will be a regular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

I found this hotel on the internet in March and visited as we needed a place to stay in Llandudno and we wanted to be away from the commercial centre.

This is a gem of a place with enormous potential. It was obvious the current owners are spending alot of money to make this Hotel a great place to stay.

Firstly the location is superb. If you like long walks along a beautiful beach and watch the sun go down with a drink on the patio or for something a bit more energetic like walking the rocky hills that backdrop the hotel this place is for you. Furthermore, if you wish to venture into town it is not too far at all.

Service is excellent, food is also excellent and drinks reasonably priced.

The rooms that have been renovated (all sea view) are beautiful and nicely done. The remainder of the rooms (not sea view) are yet to be renovated.

Exterior and interior renovations are on-going. It is clearly evident the owners are serious about the standards they want to achieve, doing it properly, but it does take time.

I'm looking to visit again in December for a weekend and will be a regular in 2013.

Keep up the good work The Lilly.

Room Tip: When booking ask for a sea view room. They slightly more expensive but worth it.

First impression from the outside was poor!! Fascia boards were badly needing painted, outside tables were in poor condition and it was obvious some money was needing spent on it. However we were warmly welcomed and had very nice drinks priced roughly the same as other pubs we had visited.Biggest disappointment was the meal.My mum paid for all three of us to have chicken wraps @ £6.95 each. We had 3 bits of chicken in them the size of 50p pieces!! Chips were burnt and to cap it all we had some tired looking side salad to accompany it.We had waited 45mins for the meal as well.I made my complaint after our meal trying to be honest and didn`t want to look smart on a keyboard a few days later. We will go back to this place for drinks only as it is in a wonderful location. Definitely not eating here due to the meal being very poor!!

can't understand why this is rated 68 out of 138, the cheese on toast is the best i have ever tasted, not just basic it had every thing in it bacon raisins, egg on top.really good food.
And in the evening watch the sunset set.
place to park, on the west shore, somehow feel's if you are some place else sat in this peacefully atmosphere, not rushed, beautiful view's of the great orme the mountains toward's pen, and the sea ever changing.

Called after seeing an advert in our B&B room (The Warwick) see separate review. Found the Bar/Restaurant to be quite friendly and welcoming. Found a table and looked at the menu, something for everyone! We had 2 Gammon, veg tagliatelli and children's Meatballs all nicely presented and good portions, have to say the Cheesy Garlic bread is probably the nicest I have had anywhere!! would certainly visit again if I was in the area. Cost £58 for 4 meals and 2 desserts and drinks.

Played for a double room with a sea view as the back rooms needed a update. We were given the smallest double I have ever seen! Bed pushed up against the window and no bedside tables. The seal on window had gone so we couldn't see the seaview due to the condensation. Light hanging out of the shower ceiling, the shower wouldn't drain. Did ask to be moved but not very helpful staff. We saw room 5 and that was huge for the same price. Room 6 should be advertised as a small double or a single. Would not stay again.

Me & my boyfriend have been to llandudno a few times and always stayed at the more expensive hotels with suites rather than rooms. But we were a little strapped for cash this time so we searched for a cheaper alternative and came across the lily. We were not dissapointed. The main attraction here is the restaraunt, the decor is realy stunning and the food was some of the best we have eaten. Its is under refurbishment at the moment, but the parts that have been done up are lovely. Its worth staying here just to sample the food, and once youve been im sure you will go back as we will be doing next year.

We booked a two night break at The Lilly on the spur of the moment due to the promise of a bit of British sunshine, booking a double room and a twin room for the kids (11 and 16) with dinner bed and breakfast. The hotel is mid-way through an extensive refurbishment with all the key areas (bar, restaurant, brasserie, lounge) and the sea view bedrooms finished to a very high standard. The double room we had was fantastic with a fabulous en-suite shower room and a wonderful sea view across the bay. The kids room was one of the rooms yet to be upgraded, and although a little dated, it still benefitted from excellent new beds and crisp clean linen and towels. The dinning experience was out of this world, the food was outstanding with attentive and caring staff. The full Welsh breakfast and the french toast and bacon were delicious, an excellent start to the day. The sun shone as promised and we enjoyed three glorious family days on the sandy beach, finally returing home happy and refreshed.

Room Tip: The 5 sea view rooms have been refurbished, the remaining 6 are at various stages of upgrading
