“Unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

First time visit to this very pleasantly appointed small restaurant having it's own bar area. From entering the premises we were greeted warmly and the origin of the unique freshly cooked dishes on the menu were professionally explained by the proprietor owner, whose partner is the chef, and who are both clearly very passionate about the unique Kenyan/Indian based cuisine this restaurant offers. There were 3 of us and the service was excellent but the food even better. We had 3 different starters and main courses which were presented and served to us nicely and each of us thoroughly enjoyed every morsel with the blend of spices and ingredients "mouth wateringly" tasty. This is without doubt a unique gourmet Indian dining experience not to be confused with "run of the mill Indians" elsewhere and a hidden gem.

“Bit late with this review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Went here with work back in 2012 - glad to see the reviews are still the same as the perception that I had back then.
I can't remember which dishes we had as I'm sure we worked off the Xmas menu, what we were all grateful for is that one member of staff couldn't attend but we shared all the dishes that had been pre-ordered in his name! (as you do lol)

Everyone commented on how tasty everything was, it was nice to feel that this was someone pouring their experiences on to your plate, still managing to do so with a home cooked feel in a lovely contemporary setting.

The only shock is it's been so long since I dined there...I need to pull my finger out and go back

“Good quality and delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

This was a fantastic Indian/Kenyan restaurant serving really good quality, high end, tasty cuisine. I can def recommend the black pepper prawns (one of the nicest things I have ever tasted). We enjoyed a couple of cocktails too from the bar, I can def recommend the mango mojito which was absolutely delicious. We didn't find this over priced, our bill was £64 for 2 cocktails, 2 beers, pops and dips, 2 starters (king prawns and chicken), 2 mains (lamb and chicken dishes), rice and nann breads. This is what we would expect to pay for any decent quality restaurant - which this most certainly is. The service was fantastic too.
