“fantastic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Merrion hotel with our 2 children. We have thoroughly enjoyed it. We have stayed at various hotels along the front and none of them come close to this one. The staff were amazing with the children and had alot of time for them. My son enjoyed talking to the man behind the bar about football it was so nice that he took time to share my sons interest. We also came with our elderly aunties and they loved it that much that we have left them there for another week. The food was outstanding both breakfast and evening meal with plenty to choose from. The room we stayed in (207) was lovely just right for a family with 2 children. All in all a lovely clean hotel the management should be very proud of there staff as they work so hard and make you feel so welcome, i would also like to mention the night porter too who couldn't do enough for us!! well done to all the staff, chief and management we will defiantly be returning.

Room Tip: 207 lovely big family room..

We revisited Llandudno for a second time, stopping at the Merrion hotel for 2 nights and we can confirm that this is the hotel to stay for a holiday break. Room 115 a superb room, bay window which has brilliant sea views, Merrion is spotlessly clean, also best location for the beach and pier. Food was excellent (breakfast and evening meal) excellent selection for evening meal and puddings are lush and very well presented, well done to the Chef. All the staff are a credit to the Merrion hotel, they are very polite and nothing is ever too much trouble. We will definately be returning.

Room Tip: Ask for room 115 has a superb seaview

What a lovely hotel this is. Stayed here for the1st time for 2 nights and would really recommend this hotel. The staff were lovely, especially Sue on reception & Rosie our waitress. The food was very good, both the breakfast & evening meal. Rooms are really clean and lovely. A beautiful hotel in a great location on the seafront will definately be returning.

We nipped over from Chester for a night in Llandudno and stayed here as my parents had recommended this hotel. Nice clean room but I would probably opt for a sea view next time. We didnt have an evening meal as we opted for a walk around town but found the breakfast lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful and we will visit again.
Unfortunately and in line with this years summer the weather was awful.(Obviously this is not the hotels fault !!)We decided against a walk up the Orme and tooka trip on the red open top bus (sitting inside at the top given the torrential rain )which was good and would have hopped of at Conwy had the sun been shining.

Visited with my husband who has mobility problems and this was the perfect hotel for him. A lovely spotless room with a sea view. The food was fabulous with a good choice of menu and staff were friendly and remembered things such as how I liked my coffee and what my husband liked for breakfast. Good customer service. Good entertainment especially Al Diamond on Friday evening. Will visit again soon hopefully.

Room Tip: Some sea view rooms have a balcony, will ask for one of those next time.

Very nice comments, thank you, I am pleased you enjoyed your recent stay, the rooms with the balconies and bay windows are on the first floor and they are very popular, so I might suggest you give us a ring and book early. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
