“Excellent lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

Went for lunch on a Wednesday, I knew a lot of locals went so thought I'd give it a try with mum and dad who are here for the week, we were not disappointed , had a lovely window seat, 1 fish and chips 1 braised steak with mash and veg, 1 braised steak with chips and salad, the portions were very big, sometimes a lot is not always the best, but I was very surprised to find the steak melted in your mouth as my dad said, I would definitely recommend the queens for lunch just wished I could have tried the sweets, next time I might try afternoon tea. Will go again.

Room Tip: Try and get a window seat, go early.

Just returned from a two nights, nice atmosphere and lovely breakfast and evening meals, the room was a double but to be honest very small. Would have been better if it was a single.
Car parking was just awful, small tight for space and on street was a nightmare. So I would recommend using your local coach / bus to get there thus avoiding the rush to find a decent space.

Room Tip: Ask for a bigger room

This was a midday visit for lunch where we opted for the Turkey main meal followed by a lemon Roulade for our sweet.
The lunchtime food was of excellent quality and good value for money , pleasant good service, the Roulade sweet quite one of the best desserts I have tasted for some time., and judging by the popularity of this venue, already has a good reputation.

Room Tip: This is an excellent quality , good value for money lunchtime dining experience

My friend and I went on a coach trip and spent Easter weekend at the Queen's Hotel. We were very pleased with the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, our rooms were fine and the food was good with an excellent choice. The Easter table gifts were a lovely idea and a large fluffy chick gave us Easter eggs on Sunday morning.

Only went here for lunch. Food was very good, and hot! Only complaint was that the person serving at the bar was absent from bar for ages!! Had to wait, and wait, and wait for drink!!! And it was not as if they were busy either!!! The restraunt could do with an up lift! Faulty towers springs to mind lol!!
But overall a nice meal and good price!

Room Tip: Ask for Seaview!

I am pleased that you enjoyed your meal; I can but apologise for the slow service at the bar, appropriate feedback has been given to the bar staff. I expect us to do better next time!

We recently stayed at the hotel as we were have my Dads celebration party there. We stayed there for 2 nights and had my Dad's celebration on Wednesday. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much for them, they made our kids welcome. The Queens is a very understated hotel and people should make sure that they stay there as the food, the staff and the overall experience is fantastic. Thank you.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Visited the Queens for lunch on a cold but sunny day in March. We were not disappointed.
My wife had hot and tasty bacon and cheese soup while I chose the chicken curry. The curry was with either chips or rice..I asked for a little of each and was accommodated without a problem. There were a lot of visitors there, obviously like us trying to get into a warm place for lunch. Although there were many customers the staff served us quickly and efficiently. I recognised some of the staff from visits there many years ago which is always a good sign.We had a brilliant table overlooking the promenade. It was a very pleasant interlude from our day out shopping in llandudno. The only problem is parking which applies to everywhere in this town not just to the Queens - I found a space two blocks down and sprinted to the hotel to escape the cold wind as quickly as possible. We spent 1 hour there and £15.00 which was very reasonable,

Room Tip: It goes without saying always try for a sea view room but avoid the seagulls on the top floors..
