We stayed here for a Holly and Mistletoe break, to celebrate our Mothers Birthday. We had a fabulous time from the moment we pulled up outside, until we left.
Our rooms were delightful, including flat screen tv's ( not that we had time to watch any tv,) some of our party had seaview rooms, which look out onto the bandstand at Llandudno Promenade, so a great position. We also had a family studio, which was at the rear of the hotel, this was ideal for 3 people, would also suit 4 (2 adults, 2 children), as the studio consisted of a bedroom, with a furnished patio, and a sitting room/second bedroom and bathroom. The rooms we stayed in had all been re-furbished to a high standard, and very tastefully done. The reception, bars and restaurants also were decorated in a lovely designer style ( no chintz here!) wonderful.
The excellent food was varied and well presented. Breakfast menu was a little bit out of the ordinary, all the usual offerings, with more - for example I had porridge with whisky, fresh cream and sugar, follwed by their 'Broadway Breakfast'.... eggs and bacon in a crepe with Maple syrup - delicious! There were many other choices, all of which were very nicely presented. Definitely a cut above the usual 'full breakfast'. The evening meals were just as good, with a good variety. Tea and coffee was served in the lounge, where we settled down each evening for drinks and entertainment.
They say Wales is the land of song, well, they certainly had their share of good singers at the Tynedale - the entertainment was very enjoyable, we saw 4 really good acts. Looking at the list of artists for the month, there was something on every single night. Not just for a short time either, the artists we saw started about 9 ish (after a few fun games of bingo), and carried on till 11 pm when everynight there was a buffet.
The hotel and food cannot be faulted, however a special mention must go to all the staff - everyone we met, without exception was very friendly and efficient, doing their job in a cheerful way- they are a credit to the hotel.
This was our first visit, but we hope it will not be the last.
So to sum it up we had a lovely stay, in a stylish hotel in a traditional town.
Try it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Llandudno - you will not be disappointed.
