The best all rounder. Our group of about 50 has been attending for 13 years and the quality has never failed. Warm friendly atmosphere, family run, Nathen the Manager is frequently around the hotel. Decor first class, by Tracy, Nathens wife, Very friendly staff, food excellent. The Gala Buffet has to be seen to be believed compares with any Cruise Buffet. If you love to cruise but can't sail try their landlubbers cruise. Operates way above its 3 star rating.Must book early. My husband organises the group holiday and never has a problem organising accommodation, whether we have stayed as part of the group or on our own, the service is always first class. Superbly managed bar with. happy hour every evening.
It is a hotel you can return to time and time again.
Definitely not a shearings or an alpha.!

Room Tip: All rooms are of a high standard If you want something extra try for a sea view bay, you pay a littl...

Once again we have visited the Tynedale and it exceeds our expectations each time we visit. Nathan and his staff team provide the best of everything, excellent food and hospitality to the highest standard.

Room Tip: All rooms are of equal, excellent standards.

Our group of 4 people has just been on a four day mock cruise at the Tynedale hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. Another person has given details of the cruise itself and therefore i wont expand on this, except to say it was excellent. We found all the staff worked very hard and most polite and helpful, always appearing to be happy in their work. There was an excellent choice of first class food, and may i say plenty for each course. Hopefully i will be able to add a photo showing the carnival buffet. Each evening there was a finger buffet at 11.00pm. I believe there are 20 of these mock cruises over the two months and credit must be given to all the staff for maintaining the standard. We were told that high standards are maintained throughout the year. We travelled by car but there were two coach loads there as well and everybody joined in together. We were invited to go on the trips on one of the coaches which was very much appreciated. The entertainment each evening was of a very high standard. In conclusion we couldn't criticise anything.

Room Tip: As regards quality i would expect all the rooms to be of a similar level. As regards the views we ar...

We went on this trip with Blakes a coach company based near us here in Devon. We stayed here in Llandudno for 4 nights, when arriving at the hotel the staff were al dressed as sailors as we were boarding the MV Tynedale and during our stay they pretended we were a cruise ship the first night we were in New Orleans, 2nd Rio De Jenario, 3rd Skelpolos Greece and finally Casablanca Africa, every night the waitress dressed up in costume appropriate to the port we were in and the food for the night was in keeping with the national meals for the area. The was deck games on 2 days, cocktails available in keeping with the port every day and entertainment on every night. This is has been done for the 2 months of February and March every year for the last 20 years so have become very geared to what is necessary. The hotel manager goes by the name of Captain, during your stay, on the final night the captain invites some of the guests to dine on the captains table. One night the is a splendid buffet, on this occasion we had a carnival buffet the night when we were in Rio.

Room Tip: They vary in size so do be very explicit about what you need and where you want to be eg away from t...

We stayed at the tynedale 23rd to 27th January from begining to end this was such a fantastic experience. The hotel decor had been done by an interior designer, it was tastefully done and interesting to look at. The food was out of this world for a 3 star hotel and would be perfectly acceptable in a 5 star hotel, the staff where friendly and attentive. Several of the guests had been returning to the Tynedale every year for a number of years and we will be joining that group
