“Always enjoy our stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

We have stayed at The Oasis a number of times and always thoroughly enjoyed it.We have found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable, and the food very, very good and plenty of it. The Hotel is ideally situated, with a superb view of the sea from the lounge window. We have always found Ann & Dave extremely friendly and helpful. We will most certainly be booking to stay again.

On arrival we wer'e welcomed and greated warmly by landlady Ann (who to my surprise had been an old neighbour of mine and my parents a few years back :) The hotel itself was very appropriate for its location, right on the edge of the beach, it had a lovely Welsh feel to it inside and out and a friendly cosy atmosphere. The rooms was clean with fresh white linen, tea and coffee provided in the room, the bathroom was fully functional and clean as a whistle. Ann made us extremely welcome during our weekend stay, and I intend on going back there again next year, and taking my family with me too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a well priced friendly stay in Llandudno. Jen :)

I called this hotel to book a couple of weekends , the landlady was rude and very abrupt, I wanted to book a couple of rooms at the end of November which coincidently were available if booked on line to be told the Hotel was not open on Sundays in November and she was not prepared to open it up for 4 people however I could stay the night before but would have to leave immediately after breakfast, I asked about availabilities in October to which she tutted and said she was in the middle of preparing dinner ... Very welcoming NOT.. Shame I am not a mystery shopper for tourist board .. My advise employ more staff to handle bookings and take your availability status of your webpage.

These people did NOT stay with us.Yet under review it say's they did. This phone call has been made up .We think someone is trying to Blacken our name as a vendetta. See 'Never again'. We are inspected regulary & saying we have RATS's is Malicious damaging & Libelious' We would NEVER turn guests away knowingly .So why didn't she book on line ? We live on our reputation so why would we be rude to people ?

We had a very warm welcome from Ann on our arrival at the Oasis Hotel. It was our first stay in Llandudno and we were more than pleased with our choice of venue. We had a lovely room overlooking the promenade with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and plenty of it served on hot plates. We chose this Hotel as it had parking and easy access to the Town and other places of interest. We would certainly recommend this Hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Ann and David for a lovely stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. These are very important & very speical to us, as our all our guests. Llandudno is an amazing place with lots to see & do with Snowdonia on our door step. We try to get it right & a heart felt positive review is worth a lot. We hope you'll choose Llandudno again in the future.

We have stayed many times at this hotel (we keep going back so that says something). Ann and David couldn't be more accommodating and helpful, the food is excellent, especially the breakfast, never greasy. Evening meals are really good value. If you ask for something you get it (within reason!). if you have an issue they try to sort it out - IF you ASK! The hotel is on the seafront and is excellent value! We are due back again soon and are very much looking forward to it.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 have good views of the seafront and bay windows.

I phoned to make a booking. The proprietor told me that she would confirm the booking by email. As i didn't receive the email, I phoned again to check that she had our booking. She said that she had forgotten to send the email but had the booking noted. She said they were "like Fawlty Towers here" and promised again to send the email - it never arrived. We arrived at the Hotel at approximately 12.30 pm. We rang for help from a phone at reception as there was no-one there.
A gentleman answered; we said we wanted to book in and he said, "Oh, I suppose you want me to come and give you the keys are then" - well yes, that would be helpful!!. When he came to reception he didn't know where anything was and said, " My wife usually deals with this but she is out." We went to the room, left our luggage there and went out for the afternoon. We already had misgivings about the hotel but wanted to speak to the the wife when we returned. Our initial impressions were that the hotel did not match most of the reviews in Trip Advisor (In fact we think there must be another Oasis hotel in the area for Trip Advisor to be so out of sync with the reality of this dreadful hotel) - the interior and our room where tired, poorly decorated and shabby. The mattress on the bed had sunk in the middle; pipes in the bathroom were rusty and there were also two un-matching, worn plastic cups - which my wife refused to drink from because they looked so unsavoury. There were out of date notices on the back of the door which included the advice that "Smoking was allowed in two designated rooms" - unbelievable!!. One notice also said that we would have to pre-book dinner but that we could order at the table if we were prepared to wait a little longer. There was also a notice about bar snacks being available. All well and good except that when we returned and I asked about dinner that evening I was told, "You have to pre-book that". OK no dinner, what about the bar snack? I asked what snacks they could do and was told, "Sandwiches and the like" - very helpful, I don't think. By this time we had had enough!! We decided to leave. The customer service had been extraordinarily bad and simply unprofessional; the hotel was like something from the 1950's and to cap it all the wife shouted at us to get out when we told her we leaving and why. Don't go here!! Don't believe the false good reports about this hotel - it is appalling!!!!!
