“Beautiful stay at a beautiful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for two nights at the end of July, and was so impressed by absolutely everything that I have booked myself a weeks stay at the end of August. The hotel itself is so homely and a very relaxing place to be. Frank the owner is one of the most welcoming and friendly person I have ever met and he serves possibly the best breakfast I have ever had. The staff are like friends you have known for years and if I could have stayed there forever I would have done. I would strongly urge everyone who is visiting the area to stay here.

Positives- The hotel is superbly situated and the room was spacious and clean (family suite), breakfast was also good.

However, was a little pricey for a 1 night stay (£17 extra per child to have a Z bed put up), but our main issue is that at the end of the evening around 9 pm, we wanted to sit on the hotel patio area admiring the view as it was a lovely evening. The owner though, wasn't too keen on us doing this and wanted to lock the hotel before he went out. He mentioned local 'tramps' may sneak in to use the toilet in the hotel. Unfortunately, this frightened our children, who were worried someone could come in to hotel and possibly our room! We reassured them this wouldn't happen, but it wasn't an ideal situation and took the edge a little off our stay. We had a lovely meal at Romeo's and the tobogganing at 'Happy Valley' was great fun!

We stayed in room 8, with a wonderful sea view, for one night and found the view and location to be excellent. The room is small, another reviewer mentioned a fridge which we didn't see in the room, and the bed felt like a queen size instead of the kingsize we expected.Perhaps the British have different mattress sizes to the American kings we are used to. There is no mirror in the bathroom and no towel racks, both of which were minor but still inconveniences. The room was clean. A big plus was the elevator, especially when carrying in luggage! We were fortunate to arrive on a sunny day and could really appreciate the sights and sounds of this seaside resort. We walked to the Great Orme Tramway and took the historic tram to enjoy the panoramic views from the summit. There are a lot of restaurants nearby for dinner and breakfast at Wildings was delicious. We enjoyed our overnight stay and considered this B & B good value.

Stayed here for the night on Tuesday, and am so pleased that I did. I cannot fault The Wildings at all. The food was impeccable, as was the hotel, very clean and tidy. Frank is the perfect host and the staff were fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel it is truly amazing with such a homely, welcoming feel and I will not hesitate in coming back or sending clients here. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed here on 16.06.13 for the night and can honestley say that it was perfect yet again. I have stayed here many times now and would not stay anywhere else, the cleanliness of the room and hotel overall is exceptional, the food is un-faultable, as are the staff. The sea view from the hotel is one of the best you could wish for. Frank the owner has created a relaxing and charming place to stay, and always makes you feel welcome, he does a fantastic job considering Christine his wife has had a stroke. Frank knows his business well and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Llandudno to stay at The Wildings Hotel it truly is a remarkable place and good value for money, in my eyes it is the only place to stay. Thank you to Frank and his team, I will be back soon.

Have been visiting Llandudno for many years and stayed in several hotels.Chose this one due to the reviews on Trip adviser it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The room (8) hadn't been cleaned properly, thick dust on almost every surface. The fridge was old, smelly and dirty, it also had 2 shot glasses in it?? There were crumbs in the bedside drawer. I don't think the carpet had been hoovered for a while as I found a length of dental floss, hair clip, hairband on it. Stains on many surfaces easily wipe-able. Bathroom was fairly modern but again in need of a good clean. Fan thick with dust, side of toilet dirty with quite a few hairs around. Shaving light but no mirror in bathroom so good job hubby didn't need a shave. Nowhere to hang towels, towel rail had come off at some point as holes in the wall. Could go on. Breakfast ok. Fortunately only booked for one night and stayed because sheets and towels were clean, and we were out most of the time. Overall certainly not worth the money paid. Wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend.

Room Tip: Don't bother.
