If you arrive late afternoon, the first thing you'll notice is the wonderful smell of bread baking. Then hostess Wendy Dugdill brings you tea and cake (silver pot) to a sunny upstairs nook where long windows overlook the beautiful old trees and spring flowers of her lovely walled garden. This is just one of the extra special treats of this wonderful B&B. Wendy and David have thought of all your needs, including robes and slippers in the room which doesn't have an ensuite bathroom, just in case you've forgotten your own.
Everything seems new and fresh and shiny clean. What is also rare is to find space on tables to put things! Pretty decorations abound, but are always tasteful and never overdone.
White linen on the very comfortable beds, big fluffy towels, a fabulous breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with Wendy's homemade toast and jams - we were in heaven!
Warmth just radiates from owners Wendy and David Dugdill. We would recommend them and their manor to anyone.
