If you arrive late afternoon, the first thing you'll notice is the wonderful smell of bread baking. Then hostess Wendy Dugdill brings you tea and cake (silver pot) to a sunny upstairs nook where long windows overlook the beautiful old trees and spring flowers of her lovely walled garden. This is just one of the extra special treats of this wonderful B&B. Wendy and David have thought of all your needs, including robes and slippers in the room which doesn't have an ensuite bathroom, just in case you've forgotten your own.

Everything seems new and fresh and shiny clean. What is also rare is to find space on tables to put things! Pretty decorations abound, but are always tasteful and never overdone.

White linen on the very comfortable beds, big fluffy towels, a fabulous breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with Wendy's homemade toast and jams - we were in heaven!

Warmth just radiates from owners Wendy and David Dugdill. We would recommend them and their manor to anyone.

A great getaway weekend from London, staying in this stunning bed and breakfast. Beautiful room, very spacious and all amenities including a fridge! Lovely couple, very relaxed and very welcoming. Delicious breakfasts, with homemade bread and jams galore...even homemade yummy cake for tea! Highly recommended!

A lovely B&B with absolutely everything i could have thought of and more! Run by a lovely couple who are extremely friendly and welcoming. A beautiful building with an amazing garden, all with a lot of history and relevant artefacts around the house. The owners made us feel at home and exceeded expectations with service. The property is immaculately kept and I would recommend staying here to anyone.
Breakfast is amazing with a huge range of tastes provided for. Good location, a 5-10 min walk to town and another 5-10 mins to the Eastbourne beach.
Off street parking is safe and secure, I also felt very safe in the hands of the owners. An unbeatable experience!
An extremely attractive place to stay for an equally attractive price! Worth every penny!!!

Stayed for three nights during gloriously sunny weather. Welcome wonderful, room superb, breakfasts delicious especially home-made bread. An exceptional B&B which thoroughly deserves all the accolades it is getting.

This was the second time we have stayed here. We have family living in Eastbourne but with limited accommodation. This is a wonderful sanctuary after a day spent with our two highly active grandchildren. The quality of the rooms, garden and breakfast is first-class. The location is excellent, quiet but close to the town centre. The best thing is the friendly reception from the proprietors. It's just like visiting long standing friends. We shall be back!!
