“A GREAT HOTEL IN A GREAT POSITION”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Stayed for a few days looking for houses in the area so we got upgraded to a suite on arrival. What a great hotel! Very well equipped, clean, friendly staff and a great location for the town, seafront and everything else Eastbourne has to offer. Super breakfast. Will stay again.

Our first stay over in the town so fired up Tripadvisor - this must be the best value in town!!! and ideally located for theatre or tennis tournament visits which are just across the road.
Lovely old hotel(very Eastbourne)spotlessly clean -even by ch4's" Four in a Bed" method checked over all the little nooks and crannies like they do for a laugh, but not a bit anywhere !.
Reception told us we had a "quirky"room so didn't quite know what to expect so were really impressed with our £85's worth of huge double room with biggest bed ever, sofa, fully equipped and bathroom with bath and shower enclosure.
We had a great sleep, lovely breakfast, parking on site and the staff were as helpful and cheerful as possible -altogether a great experience.

Room Tip: if you don't mind a single flight of stairs ask for the rooms in the roof

Have now stayed in this hotel three times and each time has been better than the last. It is six months since we were last there but the proprietor and her fantastic team of staff remembered us and made us feel so welcome.

A night at this hotel is an experience to behold with nothing too much trouble for anyone who works there. Am booked to stay for a couple of nights over the Easter weekend and am already looking forward to the experience.

If you want value for money and service with a smile this has to be the place for you.

Well done Jo you run a brilliant hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable but the superior rooms are just that and the bar is fantastic.

Booked for a few days for last minute stay....good value. My room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and the water was piping hot in the shower and bath. Lovely breakfast included in the price with quick and friendly service. Hotel is located in quiet part, just off the seafront, but a short walk to anything. Would stay again.

We stayed over the New Year and can quite honestly say it was fantastic. We wanted to celebrate New Year in good company without the raucous loud razzamatazz that often goes with the occasion. The hotel was great - the room had every amenity that you could wish for and the food was top class. The staff couldn't do enough for you and really threw themselves into making New Years Eve fun for everyone. Tickets to the pantomime were included in the package price and we throughly enjoyed that as well - good old fashioned entertainment. We can perhaps see why Eastbourne is called the Costa Geriatrica but having said that there is so much to see locally and the shopping is great. I can sum things up in regard to the hotel by saying that we really didn't want to leave!

Room Tip: We had Room 16 which was quiet and large. The bathroom was far better than ours at home!

Stayed one night on a business trip. Very friendly, helpful staff, good facilities, excellent breakfast, free wifi, good bathroom, big room - all for £50.

Would recommend for an overnight stay plus there was free parking.
