Great welcome at this hotel, with an efficient and friendly receptionist, who asked if it was my first time in Eastbourne (which it was), so gave me a map of the area with useful information on it.

I was allocated a top floor sea-view room.

The room was clean - the bathroom was clean but not spotless, as there were some mould stains on the grouting, but certainly not dirty.

There was a fantastic pressure from the shower - best shower I've had in ages!

The let down was that the room was opposite the lift, so had the "ding dong" of the lift arriving all night, alongside a couple next door of which we could hear *everything*... and they weren't doing much sleeping! The walls are so thin I could hear everything they were saying.

The bed was quite comfortable - albeit two single beds pushed together!

So overall not bad value for the price I paid, but I didn't get a great night's sleep.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms that are in the same area as the lift - try to get the ends of the corridors.

Decided to take my partner for a mid-week night away at the last minute, it was my first ever stay in a hotel and I am very impressed. I checked in alone to set the room up for my partner, the desk staff Leander and Emily were very polite and helpful as I had lots of stuff. The room was very clean and nicely presented, and the bed was HUGE. The heater worked well, the shower was very refreshing with good pressure and the tea/coffee facilities were well stocked. If I had to be picky and find fault I would say that we ran out of milk and sugar but after speaking with the ladies at the desk, had more sugar and fresh milk in no time at all, also the toilet roll holder was ever so slightly loose but again, I mentioned it to the ladies on the desk and it was rectified immediately. It is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff and I would happily go back any time. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay as nice as it was, from desk staff to cleaners, you all did a great job.

Room Tip: We had a groud floor room facing a busy pub but didnt hear any noise. The hotel offers sea view room...

This hotel provided excellent service with a varied and efficient breakfast from 7am which suited me and others wanting an early start.
Room was spacious with tea/coffee and wide screen TV.
Could not help but feel the décor and furniture reminded me of Premier Inn/ Travelodge?
Overall excellent value for my 3 night stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a Sea View

Overall for £100 for two nights was ok. Clean room, heating operating very well. Keep it in mind that budget room equals budget conditions:
You need to ask for extra towels.
Double bed= two twins stuck, not very firmly together.. Needed to be fixed. On a plus side staff done whatever they could.
Most of rooms are rented by sessional workers, builders etc. so be prepared to be woke up at 5.30.
And last but not least- breakfast not included. You could buy one for £7.50 when next door is £2.50 cheaper.

We booked a 2 night break through Amazon Local £78 for two people, two nights bed and breakfast.Excellent value, the room was clean, warm and the bed very comfortable, flat screen TV and plenty of hot water. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was a self service buffet, all the food was well cooked, hot and plentiful. Parking was easy just across the road with a £1 hotel parking permit. As the hotel restaurant was not open when we visited the receptionist recommended the Crown and Anchor Pub a few doors away, excellent reasonable priced food, with a great atmosphere. A lovely short break before the Christmas rush.

Room Tip: any room up to floor 3 is great because the lift is very efficient, floor 4 you have 2 small flights...

Stayed for 1 night whilst in the area on business. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Room clean and of nice size, big flat screen tv and bed comfy. Very good value for money. Parking easy nearby and right on the seafront. Walking distance to local restaurants.
