“Perfect for relaxing, not exploring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

Just returned from a 7 night holiday at Mai Samui and would describe this as a paradise get away. The resort was amazing, very we'll kept and the staff extremely friendly. The deluxe pool access rooms were excellent with stair access straight into the swimming pool from the room balcony. The beach at the front was not very good but it wasn't needed due to the amazing pool and beach hut bar and sun lounger area. As per the title, Mai Samui is perfect for a relaxing holiday where you want to spend most of your time at the resort with the occasional day trip out. The resort is very remote and getting anywhere else on the island is very difficult unless you book a pre-planned day trip that collects from the hotel. This resort was perfect for what we wanted and exceeded our expectations. We would defiantly recommend to anyone considering a relaxing break and would most defiantly re-visit if the chance came about. Thanks for a great holiday.

Room Tip: Chose the deluxe pool access room

This hotel is stunning, breath taking it blew me away! We told them that we were on honeymoon and OMG! They organised a nice bath with flowers, our bed was all cover with flowers, the swimming pool was great, the staff was amazing and helpful. The only thing was that the breakfast wasn't Great and drinks and food are a bit pricey, it's a shame because would have bought quite a lot but unfortunately things were cheaper in other restaurants.

Excellent accommodation, great staff... Only drawback is that the beach is dirty and its impossible to swim here..but the best option is to rent a car so you can visit every day different beach. I kindly recommend Maneam Beach..its the best beach in Koj Samui.. So if you dont want to stay at this hotel i advise u to take hotel on this amazing beach.

My friend and I spent an amazing week at this resort and found the amenities, service, restaurants and general friendly ambience of the resort second to none. I intend returning with my husband in 2015.

Room Tip: Pool access rooms are tops!

I have been to samui a dozen times over the past 10 years. It is increasingly becoming an overdeveloped polluted zoo. This hotel is located in a quieter area not far from nathon. There are good local eating options if you have a car. You cannot swim at the beach, but that is no different to elsewhere on samui which is now full of sewerage and storm water runoff. Hotel has large clean pools. Breakfast was outdoors and infested with flies. Room was large and modern. Beds are harder than concrete. Despite this, if you get a good price this hotel is good value compared to the rip offs elsewhere in samui. We paid just less than 3900baht per night. If you come expecting luxury you will be disappointed, but if you have reasonable expectations you will be satisfied.
Note that the hotel is split in two by a public road. The rear building is much less desirable and a long and inconvenient walk to the main pool despite being the same price. This hotel has some rooms that are quite noisy and undesirable, so you take your chances. On our first night we were kept awake by the laundry room adjacent to our room, as well as kitchen staff slamming doors as they prepare breakfast at 2 am (needless to say I ate almost no breakfast thereafter) If you cannot get a room in the front building you are better off elsewhere. Staff were mixed, some helpful, some including the reception assistant manager were rude.
We stayed 5 nights and were happy with our stay.

Room Tip: If you cannot stay in the front building you are being overcharged

Absolutely beautiful hotel with friendly helpful staff and good food. We arrived here after staying at a horrible hotel (P&P Resort) for one terrible night after we had missed the ferry to Ko Tao. Although we arrived at 8 am (check in is at about two) they understood that we had had a bad night and they invited us to have a nice breakfast and then hang out by the pool for the morning while out room was being prepared. The staff was friendly and really seemed to want to help us. They had a place to shower if your flight on your check out day was later in the day, so we could relax by the pool instead of at the airport. The food was great and not terribly high priced. There are a couple of massage huts down the beach from the hotel where you can get a Thai massage for 400 baht. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, although it would be best for a couple who wanted a romantic get away.
