“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

The food was delicious, we loved it!
It is a pity that not all the tables have a nice view to the outside, but the food definitely compensates the lack of a view - it was great!

“Nice place but extremely slow service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

This might be your best choice for dinner in Alesund. The food was very good, the atmosphere very pleasant and our waiter did an amazing job trying to cover up for a very very very slow kitchen. And he was only an apprentice!!! If you go for dinner ask for the sorbet with the japanese numbing flower. It was a unique culinary experience. Keep away from wine by the glass. My not so amazing glass of Barolo was about 25 euros!

“Excellent food. Expensive, but worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

The set-menu of 8 courses for NOK 895 is expensive but as an occasional treat, well worth it as the food is truly exceptional. Have eaten at many of the top restaurants in the world and this one is up there with them. No questions. Stick this place in London and it would have 2, maybe 3 Michelin Stars.

The menu is heavily seafood based but not exclusivly so. All the course we had were superb (langoustine, halibut, fish soup and whale were the standouts).

100% guaranteed to visit there next time I am back in Alesund. if you enjoy gourmet food, GO! (just shut your eyes when the bill arrives!!!!).

The bar is also very good for pre/post dinner drinks by the way.

“Stunning Food, Wonderful View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

The set menu is hard to resist (despite its cost)--a parade of wonderful fish preparations. The fish soup was among the best I've ever had.
