“A very good budget hotel in a superb position to explore Bergen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

The hotel is part of a budget brand and that should always be considered, especially by soem of the more aggressive reviewers!

With that in mind, and also considering this is Norway, in my opinion the hotel is well above average against a UK budget hotel.

The rooms are perhaps smaller than one would expect but they are equipped with all the amenities you would expect - including free wifi, shower gels/creams etc. and heavy black-out curtains for the summer months.

For a budget Norwegian hotel the breakfast is well above average. A good offering over a prolonged period of time. It may not always be piping hot, but thats the majority of buffet breakfasts worldwide!

The hotel offers free tea and coffee throughout the day, in the lobby. For this reason there are no facilities in individual rooms.

The shower's in the rooms are good as is the television coverage and choice of channels.

The service is friendly, multilingual and delivers - again - above average scorings on my part.

I would return, I have returned and I will return. The icing on the cake is the location - 2 mins walk from Brygge and 5mins from downtown Bergen.

It did everything I needed it to, but it is what it is - a budget hotel.

Great mid class hotel near the center of a wonderful city. Very close to everything and the breakfast is great. Off site parking and helpful staff. Staff is ready to help with any requests and do it with a smile. Will stay here again the next trip to Norway.

Great location, near the harbor and Brygge. Very clean, rooms were fine, just a budget version of the more expensive Thon Hotels. Good breakfast, though the breakfast buffet serving area was always jammed with people. Nice little lounge downstairs. Helpful desk.

We stayed here two nights. This hotel accepts fjord pass for discounted rates. The room was clean. However the hotel needs some renovation. The location of the hotel is extremely good with Bryggen, fish market, funicular and old palace just stones throw away. The breakfast has a great variety of food and is excellent. They charge 100krone extra for children which was not informed during the booking. The airport bus is 15 mins frequency and leaves about 5 mins walk from the hotel. Overall, a great location, nice if you want to stay 2-3 nights. Recommended.

Reasonable rooms, the decor is plain but recently painted. Weird lift with no doors inside. Handrail broken off in one and not repaired.

Nice lounge with unused bar & unused piano, but free coffee any time of day or night.

Was famous for breakfasts when it was the Orion, and still pretty good, though I miss the slabs of blue cheese. Avoid the alleged omlette which appears to have been vulcanised. No bacon at all, only those horrid meatball things.

Room Tip: all of them feature loud drumming by parading children.

we were in hotel for a night in August, Property location and breakfast is good.
Rooms and toilet are small, no ac.or fan, day time it is hot and in night you have to open windows to be comfortable but then lot of noise disturbs you.Beds are small.

Room Tip: should go for bigger room and not facing road side. If you are with your spouse take attached beds...

Best room we experienced in Norway, during our 6 days trip. The rooms were immaculate, showers in the bath were superb and the Pièce de résistance of the room was definitely the 32 inch LG TV with some decent channels too.
The breakfast spread was superb too. We were there only for one night and had a very good stay.
Check in process was easy and it was also easy to reach the hotel – take the SAS express bus from the airport, and get out at the last stop, in front of Radisson Blue. It’s a 2 minute walk from there.
Would definitely recommend this hotel In Bergen.
