“Animals and Kardemumma village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

We went here with our two boys (aged 8 & 3). We have been to many zoos, so we went actually just for the Kardemumma village (based on thorbjøn Egner's book). Both the biys loved the park. The Kardemumma village had the figures from the Three Happy Thiefs (I'm not sure about the translation) and they were having a life theathre among the guests. It was in Norvegian, but if you know the story, you'll get a hang of it.
We also took some parts of the animal park — the monkeys' part was nice as the monkeys were allowed to gomon a huge area and you could see them doing stuff - not just hanging around in a small cage.
Kapten Sabeltann's place was really cool, too. The boys were excited and we also took a cruise with one of the pirate ships.
This really was one of the best theme parks we've been to. Maybe one day was too short, but we definitely had great time.
Hghly recommend this place to families.

“Main attraction for families in Kristiansand”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It's a zoo, with both nordic and exotic animals (chimpanzees, tigers, lions etc), but it's also an amusement and water park. You really need more than one day to get around it all. The entrance fee is quite expensive - as anything in Norway would be. But this attraction is probably worth it. The attraction is open all year. In winter the amusement park will be closed, but plenty of animals to be seen.

“A must if you have children”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is not only a zoo, this is a great adventure park where your children and adults can spend days. It is all about adventure, good experiences and great drama. And of course the wild animals.
