We have been to Kristiansand several times to visit family. This was our first visit to this museum, and I must say, for a small town, this is very impressive. Essentially, this is a museum dedicated to the spirit of the Norwegian people who were under the occupation and oppression of Hitler's forces during World War II. I had long heard such stories from my husband's family who lived through it, but to see proof and memorabilia gathered all in one place, was profound. We were there on a rainy weekday in June, 2012, and the director took the time to give us a personal tour. These are things that must be seen and remembered, especially by future generations.
