This restaurant is not to be missed when visiting Oslo. The owner is obviously a collector with an amazing array of artefacts which would not go amiss in a museum.
Once the surroundings have been absorbed the food is also worth coming for. I thought my wife was re-enacting a scene from "When Harry met Sally" whilst savouring her foie gras creme brûlée starter. A main course of fish soup was delicious but was tepid rather than hot, otherwise we had no complaints.
The cost, being Norway, was of course exorbitant but in context reasonable value. Very friendly staff and efficient service.
