“Great atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

I had a three course dinner at Theatercaféen and everything was cooked really well, tasted good and presented nicely. The only thing they could improve was the wine list: not the best and biggest selection but ok. The service was very good, proactive and professional.

For being in Oslo it was normally priced so I can definitely see myself return for another dinner.

“Historical restaurant in Oslo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We visited the restaurant for lunch. It is always a nice place to be. The chairs are hard and awful, but it is always an experience to go there. Had the duck confit for lunch. It was excellent.

“A must in Oslo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

I have been here 15 years ago and I had now the same feeling of being in an old traditional establishment keeping the vitality of excellent old wine. The food was very good, only the creme brûlée was too sweet for my taste. Service was excellent and friendly and atmosphere on a Thursday evening was like in a great party!

“very nice historic restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Located right in the centre of oslo - this place stays open until 11pm . Not usual in oslo, so nice to be able to have a late night snack. Nice Lunch with jazz music played by a piano player on the balcony. Food nice but not exceptional. A bit cold and bland without flavour to be honest
