“The Royal Palace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

We really enjoyed walking around the Royal Palace and were amazed at how open and relaxed the atmosphere was. We walked there from our flat - a lovely walk through tree-lined streets. Oslo is a really pretty city.
The view from the Royal Palace is beautiful, with a majestic Oslo stretching in front of your eyes. The Palace is a short walk from Karl Johans Gate, so combine it with your city sightseeing. Well worth a visit,

“Pretty pace to relax on a pretty day!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

My husband and I went to the palace to see the changing o the guard, but we were quite early, so we relaxed on the steps of one of the statues. It was quite nice with spectacular views of the city and the grounds! The changing of the guard actually took REALLY long, and I'm not sure what the 5-10 minutes pauses were for when the soldiers were just looking at each other, but it was worth seeing once!

This is beautiful, you get right up to the Palace and you can photograph the Palace Guard or watch the changeing of the guard if you arrive at the right time. The garden are real nice and it is a nice stea for walking. Their are guided tours at certain times. It is also a great photo opportunity with the viewsnover the city and the main street.
Go there.
