“Good, cozy, fair priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

It was almost a surprise to find this little restaurant: very nice and cozy ambient, good and abundant dishes, not too expansive (especially for Oslo). We ate deer stew, pumpkin soup, celeriac soup, porridge with cinnamon. All very good. Our favourite place in Oslo.

“Best meal on our trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

This was the best feed we had our whole week in Norway and it was very reasonably priced. The salmon was so perfectly cooked it melted in my mouth. Each main comes with a drink recommendation which turned out also to be a excellent pairing. What I loved most was that all the dishes came out steaming hot. Service was friendly and impeccable. The cafe is tastefully decorated, we ended up just sitting there for a couple hours because it was such a comfortable place to be and people watch by the window. They also had a bunch of board games in the corner for your use. Theres not a bad thing I could say.

“Just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

After reading the reviews on this site i was kind of disappointed...
The place was rather cold, the salad was a bit small and had to much vinegar in it, and they had only one sort of cofee.
That said, it was cosy and well priced.

“Nice local food for winter diners”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

I had a very nice diner at that restaurant. The menu is not very big but the different dishes sound pretty tasty. I tried a moose stew which was really good, well cooked and tasty. The ambiance is warm and cosy. A very nice place for winter diners

“What a Find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

After being turned away at several places without a booking, I followed my original inclination and walked a little further to Elias. Really glad I did. I received a warm welcome and i enjoyed being (probably) the only non-local there. Had a wonderful brown beer with moose stew. Veggies in the stew were obviously fresh. The service was very friendly and helpful and I have a new favorite for Oslo.
