I visited this restaurant in October 2012, whilst on holiday in Oslo with friends. The restaurant immediately struck me as clean, tidy and well organised and cosy, with candles on each table. The seating is arranged into sections; each section displaying a different array of antique artifacts on the walls and shelving, such the 'nursery' section complete with rocking horse, aeroplanes, tennis racquets, to name but a few of the numerous toys: a real talking point during the meal.
We were greeted - in English - by a very friendly and helpful member of staff and shown to a table. Our drinks order was taken immediately and was served to us with equal speed.
The menus - in English (they have menus in various languages) - had a variety suitable for everyone (in my opinion!).
I explained I have a gluten and garlic intolerance and the staff member went off of check with chef which meals were suitable for me - they could adapt some dishes if required!
Whilst awaiting the food, I checked the cutlery and glassware for cleanliness as I do in every restaurant - they were spotless.
The food arrived well presented, piping hot and delicious! Staff returned after a short interval to ensure all was well and whether we required anything else (more drinks, extra condiments etc); nothing seemed too much trouble.
We so enjoyed our dining experience, we returned twice more during our week-long stay in Oslo, lunch time and in an evening; we were never disappointed.
(The ladies lavatory was also spotless, I should mention!)
