“Good Reasonably price hotel in Oslo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2011

This was a nice clean hotel. Note it is connected to hostel anker so make sure you book the hotel not the hostel by mistake. It is about a 10 min walk into the heart of the city however it is close to the city's best cafes/restaurants which are in the opposite direction to the city mall. The room was modern, smallish but nice. Bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom needed an update and didnt fit in with the modern room. The shower had a curtain but no floor pan so water went everywhere and was not great given the toilet and sink are right there. The breakfast is always included but barely worth going to. Toast looked like the only appetizing thing. Nearby cafes are a better choice but obviously that does cost more. Overall I'd definitely come back here again just wouldn't worry about breakfast.

When I arrived, there was good news: I had booked a single room in Anker hostel and I was upgraded to the hotel! Got a really big room on the top floor with a great view over Oslo - thank you so much!
Breakfast was delicious, coffee machine in the lobby was very conveniant, staff really friendly, WIFI worked perfectly, the rooms are extra-clean - what can I add? Definitely my first choice when I come back to Oslo!

This is a good and totally renovated hotel next to the city center of Oslo. Rooms still have enough space although they are not very spacious at all. The main plus is that is has been renovated in 2010 and all is still new. I would recommend it for a short city break. Breakfast buffet was included in our rate and was very rich. Restaurant appeared stylish and modern but due to the small windows not very light, even in wintertime.

Room Tip: Book in advance on the Internet!

We stayed at Anker hotel for 3 days and besides from not quite central location I can't name any other disadvantages.Very helpful staff, clean rooms, free internet, great view from the window-what else does a person need for a good stay?In addition,it's one of the cheapest hotels in Oslo! I'd definitely stay there again!

To start with I was a bit worried because when I printed the hotel confirmation it was actually saying Anker Hostel but when we arrived we realised that they do both (two separate entrances). It was very pleasant and we felt welcome. Room was very nice with small bathroom. Buffet type breakfast was ok. Not big selection but definetelly - compared to Oslo prices - worth of money.

I stayed one night in this hotel. My room was on the 12th floor (of 13) and had two single beds, which were comfortable and a nice view over the city. The ensuite had a good shower but I always prefer a "proper" shower tray but this was a small point when staying for one night. The hotel is within walking distance of the centre although the immediate area was a little run down. Staff efficient and the breakfast was usual good buffet standard. Very well priced considering the stunningly high prices for everything else in Oslo.

We paid £90 per night for a twin room and it was good value. Clean, comfortable, decent bedding, everything worked. Efficient shower. Hiardyer and shower gel etc in bathroom. Good selection of food at breakfast. Walking distance from city centre and close to Munch Museum. Would recommend.
