From my experience so far, it seems Norway is not blessed with amazing hotels, everything I have found to date seems overpriced and tired/tatty looking. I'm pleased to say that the Radisson Blu Plaza Oslo probably comes out on top as the overall best hotel I have stayed in so far in Norway.
The building has a huge presence, 37 floors high, towering over Central Station and the centre of Oslo. This prominent location does make the hotel rather popular, and I found the lobby area/reception very busy at all times of day, as were the lifts/lobby bar/breakfast room. I did not visit the top floor restaurant and bar or the gym and pool situated near the top of the building.
All of the staff I encountered were warm, friendly and efficient, always good to experience that in hotels.
The room was maybe showing signs of age, but everything was in good working order and the cleaners here work hard, top marks for cleanliness.
I would be happy to stay here again next time I am in Oslo.
