“Generally very good although always chaotic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

From my experience so far, it seems Norway is not blessed with amazing hotels, everything I have found to date seems overpriced and tired/tatty looking. I'm pleased to say that the Radisson Blu Plaza Oslo probably comes out on top as the overall best hotel I have stayed in so far in Norway.

The building has a huge presence, 37 floors high, towering over Central Station and the centre of Oslo. This prominent location does make the hotel rather popular, and I found the lobby area/reception very busy at all times of day, as were the lifts/lobby bar/breakfast room. I did not visit the top floor restaurant and bar or the gym and pool situated near the top of the building.

All of the staff I encountered were warm, friendly and efficient, always good to experience that in hotels.

The room was maybe showing signs of age, but everything was in good working order and the cleaners here work hard, top marks for cleanliness.

I would be happy to stay here again next time I am in Oslo.

Room Tip: Ask for as high as possible for the views!

This is an old hotel, and it shows. Old stained carpets everywhere.

The rooms are small and not at all corresponding to the prize you pay for them. There are much better alternatives, that are much cheaper than this hotel.

The bathroom was dirty. The carpet smelled. The bed smelled of many years of use. Several of the ligths in the room, was not funtioning, either the light bulb needed changing or there was something seriously wrong with the electricity.

Very Nice hotel close to/in city center. Few step outside the bus and trainstation and there it is. Very Nice rooms and Nice staff. If u get a room high up u can see all of Oslo from yr room. We stayed on the 22 nd floor. Room was clean and quit big.
Breakfast was included and it was one of the best breakfastbuffet i have ever been eating from.
4 minute walk and you are in the Bolton of Carl Johan.
Very much recommended

Stayed here a while ago now, it was a great location giving easy access to all the central shops/restaurants/harbour and close to the station. The rooms are very standard, clean and functional. A nice and convenient hotel for a weekend in Oslo.

This hotel is very convenient for those visiting Oslo for the first time, close to Oslo main station and you cant fault the high rise building, 20 mints from Oslo airport by airport express train 170 Nok.

friendly staff and service, clean rooms and most city attractions can be explored by foot.

A brief walk from the main shopping street (Karl Johan) you'll find this tall hotel. Not amongst th cheapest, but it has the largest breakfast buffet I have ever seen. The staff is friendly, and if there's few guests you may request a room in one of the higher floors.

The hotel is located 2 minutes walking from the station. I stayed during Easter and enjoyed the facilities: gym and swimming pool. Try the breakfast, it is delicious. There is a selection of cheese, sausage, ham, bean, fruit, cereals, yoghurt, tea, milk, coffee. Better than a lunch or dinner in a restaurant. The staff was nice and helpful. We had a small issue with the room, they gave us a twin instead of the double but when we went back to the reception after realising the mistake the receptionist sorted it out the problem immediately. I would definitely recommend to use this hotel if you go to Oslo and book directly on their website for better deals.
