“Perfect for city break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Right on the tram line so it is easy to get from the bus station - adds a bit of noise but we felt it added to atmosphere of a city. Large room which was great as we stayed in at night. Excellent buffet breakfast. Reception staff very friendly. Right beside the National Gallery if you fancy a good "Scream." Evening meal was nothing fancy but did the job as eating and drinking in Norway is horrendously expensive - pizza starting at £22 and a bottle of wine starting at £50!!!! Recommend you max out at your departing airport's duty free - there is also a duty free shop in Rygga airport if you have a weight restriction but it is still dearer than the UK.
Easy walk to city centre and the Palace. We got the one day visitor pass which was great for the museum island and included the bus. One big thing to be aware of - going between Xmas and New Year is not a good idea, everything is closed from 22nd to 2nd January! Most shops, ALL visitor attractions, many restaurants. Oslo is just ok, lacks the charm of the eastern European cities.

Location! You can walk and enjoy the city center. The hotel is not the one you will remember as a spesial one. A bit tired and in need for a remodelling. Do not expect it to be the romantic spot....you have to create the romantic moment yourselves

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the backyard. Then you will be able to have a good night sleep.

Very good location, within walking distance to the train station and many landmarks in Oslo. We traveled on business and booked nearly half of the hotel capacity. The rooms and bathrooms were tiny but comfortable. Decent buffet breakfest and dinner included in the price of the rooms. Free WIFi...

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip in mid January. Here are the main positive points:
- the hotel is very well located not far from the National Theatre, metro and Flytoget airport transfer
- the staff are friendly
- it was clean and comfortable
- there is a complimentary light buffet in the evenings
- breakfast is good
- there is free WIFI (code changes every day).

A Norwegian colleague told me the restaurants is one of Oslo's best although I didn't actually get a chance to eat there myself to confirm that it deserves that reputation.

There isn't much negative to say. The room was not big but perfectly adequate. The room was cold when I arrived as the radiator had been turned off and it took a while to warm up once I'd switched it on. The bathroom is a bit small but nicely equipped with a decent shower.

In summary I'll stay here again the next time I go to Oslo.

Great location. Within walking distance to many landmarks in Oslo. The rooms were small with very small bathrooms.(our party had five double rooms...all tiny)The ventilation above the shower was full of dust :-( Nice breakfast, but they were constantly running out of cutlery and plates. The plates are also way to small! They were out of pastries and croissants one hour before breakfast was finished. Remember to get your parking discount if you travel by car.

I travelled to Oslo for a long weekend with two friends and we were given a triple room at the hotel. The hotel is very clean and modern. We all agreed that these were some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The floors in the bathroom were heated.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. There was a huge breakfast buffet every morning that was delicious. There was also a small dinner served which helped us to save some money, and it was also quite good. The location is also excellent.

I would stay here any time I travel to Oslo. Highly recommended.
