Owner description: The Vigeland Park is the world's largest sculpture park made by a single artist, and is one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. The park is open to visitors all year round. The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Vigeland was also in charge of the design and architectural layout of the park. The Vigeland Park was mainly completed between 1939 and 1949. Most of the sculptures are placed in five units along an 850 meter long axis: The Main gate, the Bridge with the Children's playground, the Fountain, the Monolith plateau and the Wheel of Life.

The statues and the green areas are perfectly combined. Beautiful to walk around and enjoy the sights.

“A quiet afternoon stroll”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

It is impressive with it's statues, but it gets better if you wander away from the pack. Take your time to relax!

“Spectacular park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

This sculpture park is very different from most other places I have been to. It looks different at different times of the year. The culptures are very well made and look just as good in the rain as in the sun, in my opinion. The rain makes the stoneculptures look more real.

“A must when you visit Oslo...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

...and a great place to meet friends when you live here. In the summer it's nice to have picnic there, the sculptures are very inspiring and it's also famous for jogging.
