Description: When the French crave a simple and honest meal, a neighborhood bistro is nearly always their destination. In a lively yet intimate environment, locals and visitors dine on simple French dishes. At Albert Bistro we love this style of food and gives our own interpretation of classic dishes. With a great view of Akershus Fortress and the marina, Albert Bistro is a casual but stylish neighborhood cafe with tempting French classics on the menu.

“Pleasant surprise, best chicken ever. Called Albert Bistro now.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We were at Aker Brygge and walking by in the late afternoon we randomly chose Albert Bistro. The price looked not so horrible for Oslo and it was not just burgers as most places around.
Actually it is mostly French cuisine and very well done. We had one of the best onion soup, well done duck and the highlight was chicken, it was the best chicken ever.
Dessert good as well. Staff friendly, smiling, chatting with us.
If for nothing else, I would go to Oslo to enjoy this restaurant again. Thanks!

“Decent quality in Aker Brygge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

This is a very nice place to come for breakfast or lunch. If you go for breakfast, get there on the early side as they stop serving breakfast at 11AM (which is unfortunate as their breakfasts are very good). Both the Croque Monsieur/Madame are very tasty and they make a nice onion soup. Desserts are also very good but the crepes were a disappointment -- quite heavy and more like Norwegian pancakes (pannekaker) than traditional crepes. Good location right on the harbor.

“Albert Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

A group of ten of us went for dinner and we all had excellent meals at a reasonable price. I had the steak sandwich which was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. The staff that served us were very helpful and spoke good English. Definitely recommend.

“It's now called "ALBERT BISTRO"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

The meal was delicious and not overpriced and right along the water. It was renamed so trip advisor should update this listing. We both got the crock if French onion soup and grilled salmon filet. Waitress was great, fluent English. The view was right on the Harbor. We were thrilled with our choice to eat there, go, go and GO!!
