“Excellent restaurant for an easy affordable dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

It is a make it yourself buffe. You pick your vegetables and then you ask for the meat to join with it. You get the amount and the combination you want. And you can serve yourself as many times as you want. The only downside is that it is a bit thight space, but the the rest is super.

“Good prices for Oslo”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

We did not try the all-you-could-eat grill because we just weren't that hungry that night, so my review discusses the a la carte offerings instead (although I'll add that the four guys at the table behind us seemed to really enjoy the grill and went up several times while we were there, each time coming back with overflowing plates).

The prices were good--especially since they allowed my 19yo son to order off of the children's menu! They accommodated my allergies by making sure it was egg-free--although I had to send back the salad the first time, because of the dressing. The waiter was very friendly -- he is an Argentinian who worked his way through Europe and has now settled in Norway. His Norwegian isn't fluent, but he likes English and was happy to chat with us.

Probably the only downside to the restaurant was its food, which was just okay. The french fries were good, but everything else was just so-so.

“All you can eat, and reasonable too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2012

Djengis Khan has moved about a lot in Oslo before settling in Torggata. Found in the alley connecting Torggata and Storgata, this place offers an excellent all you can eat mongol buffet, and a selection of chinese dishes.

The service is fairly efficient, and if you have the inclination to, you can easily stay and eat for five hours.

The meats used are cheap, but good cuts, and the grill is always on. Be prepared to go home stuffed.

“Reasonably priced "all you can eat" buffet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2011

You choose your vegetables and mutton/chicken beef/prawns/scampi, and the chefs put it on the barbeque/wok for you. Then add sauces, rices, salad, bread. Most of the sauces less spicy than expected. Current price Sept-11 NOK 169.
Very quiet at a mid week visit - and some doubt about whether all the ingredients really were fresh? Some people in out group not happy with how the beef tasted, but in general food was okay. No good value for vegetarians, though. And if strict vegetarian, even a problem as the food are fried more or less toghether with the meat/seafood.
Slow service, It took forever to order drinks for a group who was not arriving together, and also later to catcht the attention of the waiter

“Mongolian food in Oslo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2011

Despite the bad reviews here on tripadvisor we decided to give this place a chance. It was fabulous, the Mongolian styled buffet(this was our first Mongolian experience) was so unusual and yet great. So what you do there is to pick any kind of vegetables(or rice) and any kind of meat(beef, pork, chicken, lamb or seafood) and then the cooks fry it in front of you,the bread and a big variety of sauces is included. For 169,considering how expensive Oslo is,this is a very good offer. They also have a lovely back garden and even tho the place is quite popular, there's enough space for everyone.Highly recommended!
