“High quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

A long established restaurant that is comfortable, elegant and is all you would expect of this kind of establishment. The service was accomplished, and the menu a really well balanced selection of very high quality Norwegian dishes. The ambience, food and service combined to produce a most enjoyable experience. As always in Norway, don't expect a bargain, but we left feeling that we had good value for money.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We were are group dining here, and this historical venue is a must visit when in Oslo. Great cuisine, very tasteful and delicate. We had 5 different types of salmon for starter, a very nice and tender lamb for main course with this funny green gel made on mint, it tasted absolutely wonderful a surprisingly well combo!
For dessert we had a nice apple pie.
Great service, attentive waiters and tasteful wine, I will definitely come back next time!

“do not miss this restaurant”

I think this is the best meal we had in scandanavia. The reindeer is superb. The setting is gorgeous and the service was outstanding. If wine was cheaper in norway this would have been heaven

“Great food. Lovely decor and great service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

Went here a few nights ago with some local friends. What a quaint little place. Very nice interior with old fashioned Victorian touch. Some lounge rooms reminded me of cigar lounges or simply a bar lounge in a wooden cabin. Service was great and food was very flavourful. Had the halibut which came with an exquisite sauce. A friend had bacalao which she loved. Complimentary soup appetizer was good too. Prices were typical of Oslo, as we later learned since it was our first night in Oslo.

“Great food, but questionable service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. However, we had a bad experience in which we arrived, ordered our entire meal, had our appetizer arrive, then a large party entered at that time and they said that our entrees would be delayed because they were serving them first. Forty five minutes later our entree arrived. It was good, but the service decision was questionable.
