This hotel was actually nicer than I expected it to be. Small beds, but I am short and barely noticed. It seems more like a fancy hostel than a hotel, but it was clean (white linens - no busy prints to hide stains) and had everything I needed. I am not one to require fancy amenities, and I appreciate a place that won't charge me for things I won't use and don't need. The location was perfect and I didn't feel afraid even once. I even went out for a run by myself early one morning and wasn't bothered by anyone. I did notice a bar across the street, but it was kind of fun watching the party people from the roof above and it wasn't too loud. They offer no breakfast, but there is free coffee all day and night in the lobby and you can purchase snacks and fruit/yogurt if you like, not to mention being just down the street from lots of restaurants and cafes. The only incident that occurred during my stay was a (false) fire alarm around 1am or so. Not a big deal, except that I was already sleep deprived from my body not used to the new time zone and it seemed like I would continue to be thanks to the alarm. I was definitely relieved there was no fire, however. Despite that, I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
