Description: The OPUS is the new gourmet address in Vienna - which accounts for artistic creativity and culinary delight in Imperial harmony. Josef Hoffmann landmarked Viennese architectural style of the '30s hits in OPUS at Zeitgeist. How can lovingly restored furniture in historical order directing the ornate wood paneling an almost magical feel arise, and fine fabrics provide soothing color accents. Select menus and wine lists, with consistently matching design, seductive delights and fine wines for an evening enchantment all your senses. Exquisitely light Austrian cuisine inspired by global trends to choose from, served playful and served with a modern interpretation. With emphasis on quality local produce and thanks to extraordinary creativity and aesthetics every meal is an experience - this is lobster, turbot or pigeon. The culinary handwriting of the new Sous Chef Stefan Speiser stands for innovation and superior quality.

“Excellent gourmet highly creative restaurant - a rarity in Vienna”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2015

Super creative - worth a trip.
92 Euro for a 6 course menu (actually 10 courses with all the presents of the house) is actually on the low end of luxury pricing.
Every course is yummy and brilliantly executed, creative and original.
Unfortunately on wednesday night there were way too few people there.
Please go - it would be super sad for the great quality food place to close!

“Outstanding experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2015 via mobile

This restaurant was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The food was unbelievable, presentation even better. Lots of molecular gastronomy. We had four courses but with the many amuse bouches (creative and delicious additions, by the way) we had nine courses total. Also enjoyed being able to pick and choose items from I believe 4 menus of courses rather than just a prix fixe- as a vegetarian I cannot always find suitable dishes but they had many here, including a full vegetarian menu. Service was very fast, and despite the nine courses we were still done in about 3 hours. We plan to return to Vienna simply to come back to this restaurant.

“Food was out of this world, however service was slow.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2014

As we were on holiday and staying at Hotel Imperial, we thought we'd go all out and have a meal at OPUS, the hotel's restaurant. We went for the four-course menu, however with added amuse bouches and extra complimentary desserts at the end, we actually had a huge nine courses! Naturally this all took a while to cook, serve, and consume, however the service was quite slow. It took us 4 hours to finish the whole meal, and we weren't exactly eating slowly. Also the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant doesn't really fit with the rest of the hotel, which is a little weird, but not that bad.

However. The food was incredible. How this place doesn't have a michelin star is beyond me, it's better than some of the michelin restaurants I've eaten in. Every course was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. If you enjoy good food and ever have the opportunity to eat at OPUS, GO! It's pricey, but so worth it.

“Superb food and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2014

We were very pleasantly surprised at both how good the food was, and at the level of service, which was outstanding. Wine pairings were excellent, and we would definitely dine here again on a repeat visit to Vienna. The hotel bar has been recently refurbished, and is a beautiful place to have a reasonably priced drink in a unique setting, with evening piano music. Highly recommended.

“A very elegant restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2014 via mobile

The restaurant offer a very nice ambiance in a modern classical decor. The service when you are being attended is good but rather slow. The food is is good but to my taste sometimes too elaborated and try to offer Tate's which are not determined .
