“Walking distance from Schonbrunn Palace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

The hotel is walking distance from Schonbrunn Palace and the train station. There is a big modern laundry walking distance from the hotel where you can wash and dry your clothes. The machine takes notes so no worries with regard to having change ! You can even buy the washing soap, plastic laundry bag, etc from the vending machine. Nice also is you can also buy coldrinks from the vending machine while you wait for your laundry. The hotel itself is neat and professional. At reception you can buy coldrink, snacks, etc. The room is not huge, but it is modern and you will get value for your money! We stayed in the rooftop room for 3 adults. You get a nice welcome on the television set :)

The only nice thing about this hotel is that is is close to the schonbrunn castle. And the restaurant was very nice. We had the most friendly waiter that served us everyday, that made the stay very nice. But as for the Hotel, not good at all. The receptionist was very unfriendly and was very unhelpful as to recommending what to do in the area. We payed 20 Euro to get access to news, tv channels and movies which was only valid for 24 hours. The wi-fi also is only in the lobby area except if you pay for a certain amount of time at high rate. At the end the price was so much more because of all the extra things that you need. It wasn't good value for money. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are a lot of nice hotel around and in Vienna.

The hotel is in a great area, close to Schönbrunn.
The staff is highly professional and pleasant. Rooms are clean and cosy.
The only thing I didn't like was the hotel parking. The spaces are too narrow and there's only 19 of them so sometimes you have to park in the streets.
Will definitely stay there again.

Courtyard Vienna Schoenbrunn Hotel is in excellent condition. Rooms have on Old-World charm and are spacious, and clean. The hotel offered a good breakfast. The check-in staff (Veronique) was friendly, and took time to help us with directions to the Music Hall and other sites, restaurant choices, and other questions. The hotel has good parking (for a price). It is within walking distance to the Schoenbrunn Place, and the Underground is very convenient only a block away.

I would defiantly return to this hotel.

On the whole, I loved this hotel. Even though it is on a very busy street, the soundproofing is so good that the traffic noise never bothered me. The beds were firm yet very comfortable. It is too bad this hotel is so chinzy with its wi-fi, which is only free in the lobby. Even, the budget priced Ibis gives you free wi-fi in your room. Here, you need to pay 6 Euros an hour if you want to use wi-fi in your room. The breakfasts are also overpriced, but there are two bakeries nearby where you can get a nice breakfast for a quarter of the price charged by the hotel. The subway station is nearby as well.

Stayed here for four days. Compact hotel. Rooms decent size. Excellent service both at the reception and at daily breakfast. The latter especially, was so cheerful and personal, made one think one was staying with close friends! Breakfast was a decent spread. Wifi wasn't free but a nominal charge was ok.

Just a ten minute walk from the palace and zoo. Quiet location otherwise. Close to the underground also. But we we lazy, just took a cab when we needed to move around.

Great place for first time stay. Tho personally, next time, would like to stay near the Opera House, in a very happening part of the city.

The hotel is on a noisy sytreet. The quiet rooms are towards the back, cost a little more but you have breakfast and WIFI. Seperate breakfast is E 16.- p.p. The staff is very helpful and friendly. 5 min. walk takes you to the supway and from there its 10 min to down town ( Innenstadt).Trains go about every 5 min. They have a 8 day ticket for unlimited use of all public transportation ( E 38.-) Can be used by 2 people. Just punch it 2 times but you have to stay together.
Renting a car is not a good idea since you will spend mote time looking for parking then getting there.
Schoenbrinn Castle, Park and Zoo and the technical Museum are 15 min. walk. I have family in Vienna and visit every year. This is so far the best deal.

Room Tip: rooms in the back are quiet.
