I'm surprised that there are no reviews yet for this restaurant, considering it is only one block away from several very popular hotels in Vienna, such as the IBIS and IBIS Budget hotels on Lassallestrasse. The receptionist at our hotel recommended it to us. We were surprised to find out that it is owned by a family who hails from our hometown, Prague.
The service was excellent, and the prices were much lower than what we were used to paying in the center. The menu is full of standard Austrian options as well as some Czech classics. The portions were huge and the food was done well, albeit a bit greasy. They have two beers on tap: the Austrian classic Gösser and the Czech Starobrno. There are three sections in the restaurant - a very smoky front section by the bar and two rooms in the back that were more family-friendly.
All in all, it isn't high-class dining, but it is an excellent option for people staying at the nearby hotels who don't want to venture back into the center for dinner or eat at their hotel's restaurant.
