“City Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

We chose this hotel because of the overall opinion of TA reviews and were not disappointed, nothing to add really but must say that the real stars are the staff, possibly, and without exception, they were the friendliest, most helpful and most efficient that we have encountered in any class of hotel that we have stayed in.

This is a real palace with everything you can expect (and more) : the place has been renovated recently and the rooms have the up to date equipment; in the public areas, decoration is modern and great. The service is attentive and discreet : available when you need them. Above all compliments : the buffet for breakfast is one of the best you can imagine. The choice is large but not surprising for a 5 star hotel : but the quality of everything ( eggs, delicatessen, cheeses, fruit, bread, jams....) is a the top : seldom can you find this quality in breakfasts buffets...

In the center of Vienna, a discrete palace is the palce to stay. Kempinski hotel is in fact a place to stay. Fantastic rooms, a service that helps you at once, rest room, cigar room, gym, amazing and cozy breakfast. The restaurant works perfectly and with choices that will fit what you want.

Room Tip: Se puder escolha uma suite. Inesquecível.

Stayed in Grand Deluxe Room. Incredible. Quiet, clean, top notch. Best hotel I've stayed in bar none. Luxury. Shower head! Space! One night in Vienna at this wonderful property, really wish I had been able to stay there longer, even though Vienna was 100F while there! Wonderful service as any would expect from 5 star, but staff very helpful attentive and extremely professional. Did not have time to try restaurants on site. Afternoon cocktail in lobby with cocktail service, free wifi and small appetizers was a real plus. So very comfortable. My only inconvenient moment: I needed to be up very early 6:00 a.m. for some business on my laptop, so went to lobby thinking there would be coffee service there, as there had been lobby service the afternoon before. I was not aware that there is no coffee in the lobby at that time, and hotel restaurant was not open until 7a.m. No matter, I went back up to room where my husband was sleeping, and ordered room service for my coffee and pastry. He woke up anyway for our checking out, so no problem. But would be great to be able to have at least coffee/tea in the lobby for us early risers who are doing business matters! Thank you for such attention to detail and service. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will be more than pleased.

Recently stayed for 4 nights in a superior room overlooking a beautiful inner courtyard. The room was nothing short of amazing with an iPod for controlling the tv, nespresso machine and an impressive bath room with digital controls for the separate shower and tub. Special thanks to the concierge Martin for his great service booking concert tickets. Finally, the hotel has several bikes that guests can use free of charge to explore Vienna. Absolute final comment, the breakfast is nothing short of amazing!

we chose this hotel firstly because it is a 'kempi' and secondly it already has a great reputation for being 'THE' hotel in which to stay in vienna.....we were not disappointed ....the hotel itself is an excellent example of what can be achieved in the full restoration of a 'grand palais'...the result in this case is perfection....the 'art deco' design of the interior is superb and faultless.....our arrival in vienna ..on an austrian air lines flight from zurich ...was marred by the fact...(extraordinary to relate)....our luggage was 'lost'...so we arrived at the hotel luggageless....this was taken in hand by the hotel...who obviously encouraged the airline to 1.find it a s a p ........... and 2. to deliver it a s a p ..... they were successful and it was delivered to the room that evening......our room was truly excellent...as a holder of a black GHA card we were upgraded to a suite....everything in the room was perfect.....there is even a 'tablet' for free internet use....i even taught myself to use it....there is also a small but most efficient business centre....as for the bathroom...words nearly fail me....the first time i have used a bath and shower by touching buttons instead of turning taps.....everything just perfection.....the only glitch was with room servicing but this was very well dealt with by ms elizabeth hecht....and she defused the situation with confidence and aplomb.....all in all a hotel stay which was well up to kempinski standards.....i can thoroughly recommend the palais hansen...cannot wait to return in fact....

Room Tip: if you can afford a suite go for it.....

Had a family trip to Austria and spent four nights at the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna. The service and staff were exceptional. They were always trying to help and please. They were able to give us two connecting rooms, per requested, which were very comfortable, luxurious, with all the modern amenities (great shower!). Had a lovely time at this palatial and yet, modern hotel.
