“This hotel is a Real Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

This is a WOW hotel. The Lobby is just gorgeous, the dining areas are stunning and the rooms are very very nice and spacious with beautiful bath-rooms.

Their roof top bar/restaurant is just a dream with an excellent view of Vienna.

Cannot be recommended enough. A stay here is like nowhere else.

Room Tip: We got the best, but to me all rooms are just excellent.

Very nice hotel, the staff is very atentive, they speak english !which is not common in Vienna. The room was of good size, the bath room has a nice and comfortable tube, the nespresso coffe maker was a great detail, as well as the teas we had in the room. The restaurant breakfast was good, the typical plate was with beef meat instead of veal, for our taste it was better esti g beef than veal. The chocolatier master was very explicit in his speech. Being in vienna and not trying the chocolatier master is not a good idea. At walking distance from the historic ring, so close that cab drivers were not very happy to drive us to the hotel due to the small price they had to charge. It is better to walk. The spa was superb, steam bath and sauna. All the amenities in it were great as weel as the pool was.

I hada great time in vienna and definitevely recommend this hotel.

We decided to stay at the Ritz in Vienna because there have been some surprises at local hotels, which can also be lovely, but we wanted a sure bet. The hotel is located within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and sight seeing spots, so is very convenient, but it is enough off the beaten path to be slightly quieter. (We were there in May, not sure about summer.)

The room was lovely and had nice amenities, like a nespresso coffee machine, plenty of towels, a great bathroom, nice toiletries. The bed was very comfortable as well. The restaurant was great and fun and the breakfast, which in our case came with the room, (highly suggest you get a package that includes it), was amazing. It gave us plenty of fuel to go for quite a while before lunch.

The staff was always friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: We had a great package, so did not expect or have a great view, but it wasn't bad either. So, th...

My husband and I stayed here for a week in November 2013. I believe this property was recently acquired by the Ritz Carlton (perhaps in the last 2-3 years....although I might be wrong). We had a very pleasant stay in an extraordinarily large room (especially by European standards!). The room came equipped with a beautiful and extremely large bathroom with very nice toiletries. There was also a Nespresso machine in the room which was a nice touch as opposed to a standard European hot water kettle. The hotel had a convenient central location and we were able to walk to most places. The times we ordered room service, the food was also quite good.

I read the recent reviews and was skeptical since my wife and I were going to spend 4 nights at this hotel. After arriving, I can tell you that my skepticism was completely misplaced.

This is a first class hotel:

The rooms are first rate, the rooms were very well appointed. The building was a old bank building so there might be more stairs then you are used to, but the charm of the building is incredible and with first rate bellman, you never have to lift a finger. The bathrooms are huge, the AC got down down to 60's during the day should you like it that cold. The windows also opened.

The concierge that we dealt with mainly was a gentlemen named Simon, he was first class, very intuitive and couldn't have been more spot on in his restaurant recommendations, even arranging a private tour of the area once he found out my wife was a history buff. First class service

The restaurant and the roof top bar was fantastic, Never had a problem getting a seat and the service at both places is exactly what you have come to expect from a 5 star hotel. The "Holland Ladies" on the roof top could not have been more charming and accommodating

Matthias Vogt was a first class General Manager, as were the rest of his senior staff. They went out of their way to ensure a wonderful 30th anniversary for my wife and I.

I travel throughout North American and Europe for my job, privately and sometimes professionally I stay at Ritz Carlton's and this one ranks at the top of my experience.

Great job by the Management and Staff at this Ritz Carlton.

Room Tip: Check out the roof top bar, it's a great view of the city

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed at in Europe. Although it is an an old building, it was developed into a Ritz-Carlton not that long ago and still has the new feel.

Many of the rooms are enormous, with huge bathrooms. Our bathroom contained a large tub as well as a separate glass shower. The bed was extra large and very comfortable.

Our room did not have a view but everything else was top notch

With only about 200 rooms, the hotel was not packed with tourists or business meetings as many of the larger chain hotels are. The breakfast buffet was extremely well done.

I stayed here for three nights recently and I found the hotel to be quite nice. not the best 5 star hotel I've stayed in but it was one of the best european hotels I've stayed in. The bed was comfy and the size of the bathroom was huge, separate walk-in shower, tub a big sink area. Our room didn't have much of a view despite it having a small walkout balcony. The location was great as you're a 10-15 minute walk from all the main sites in the city center and the underground station is right inside the park next to the hotel. And a bonus is the underground line that goes through the Stadt Park station takes you out to Schonbrunn Palace. The hotel has a bar on the rooftop that has a great view of the city and is worth stopping by for a drink one evening. We stayed at the far end of the hotel on the sixth floor, believe it was 621 which was close to another elevator in the building so it was a quick in and out once from the room. We got a great rate here, not sure I'd pay full rate as we didn't spend a ton of time in the room but I'd definitely stay here again.
