Description: Cafe Diglas, one of the classic traditional Viennese coffee houses in a very central location. Open 365 days a year for its guests, 8 clock early to 22:30. Here you can start your day with a wonderful selection of breakfast offerings, reading newspaper croissants, enjoying fresh out of the oven. And at noon we will drive with 5 different, again created daily menus. We inspire hearty Viennese cuisine with new variations. For dessert, there's then, as befits a true pastry Temple, the famous stake. But apricot dumplings and plum dumplings, each have a seasonal permanent place on our map. The snack is a separate issue, take one look at the display case filled with all the delicacies that are baked fresh every day her grandmother's recipes. The real Diglas guest know that you should not be late, because at delivery the souffles are lukewarm and not yet eaten the coveted banana slices. At 19 h leads the pianist the evening. We show you how you can end the stressful city life gently with a glass of wine. A fluffy pancake-Diglas

We tasted some wine here. Limited choice, but but that is the case everywhere in Vienna. Ordered a red wine by mistake, and they did not want to change it. Later, they brought a wine that we did not order, so they were wrong this time. But now the wine could be changed... We are just tourists...

“Cozy with great desserts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012 via mobile

The decor at this cafe is charming and the food was good. The desserts and coffee were amazing. We stopped by for dinner and had great service. We went back for breakfast and the service was ok, but the food was excellent. It was busy but managed to be cozy.

“Nice cafe with good coffee and great pastry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

This cafe maybe look small but has great self made pastry and good coffee to go with this. It may be a bit difficult to find as it is off the beaten path but it's worth the walk/search.

“Best apple strudel I have ever had !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

Cozy, nice place. Do invest your time having a look at the available pastries before ordering: they look great and it taste even better. Very courteus service. Nice to spend some time reading or chatting with friends / partner. Ah, and the apple strudel is the best I have ever had in my entire life. Definetely a place to go in Vienna.

“Faded Glory”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

What a dump. The service was horrible and not at all friendly. The coffee was, at best, OK and the cakes were not even of that caliber. The place seemed worn (and not in a nice, nostalgic way). I'd rate it: OK if you need to get out of the rain.
