This is a great hotel for those on a budget. The rooms are a bit better than dorm rooms, sparse but comfortable. The tv had a remote control. There was plenty of hot water. There is no hair dryer though. Breakfast is available although I never had any when I was staying there. Even though this hotel is not downtown Vienna, it is only a few subway stops away from downtown. The subway is about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. There is a gas station across the street that has soda, beer, candy, ect. for late night snacks. Getting to the hotel from the airport is fairly easy, I did it in the snow, late at night. The CAT train is easy to get to downtown from the airport. From there, take the U3 suway train going in the direction of Simmering. You want to get off at the Erdberg stop. Follow the signs to "Franzosengraben". If you come upon a huge office square, you have gone to far. The stairs next to the garage will take you to street level. Once on the street, you want to go in the direction AWAY from the highway overpass, very close to you, and TOWARDS the traffic light. The first street should be the Franzosengraben. You can only turn right on the street. You will see a large building with the name "Yokogama" on it. "Poker World" is also on this street. Walk a few blocks and you will see the gas station on the right and the hotel on the left side of the street. The hotel staff were pleasant. You can do laundry at a place near the Schlachthausgasse subway stop (right before Erdberg stop). Exit the station on Schlachthausgasse St. and head left. It is on a corner about 1 block down on the right side. 4 Euros to wash, and about 2 Euros to dry. Try the opera if you can. I had tickets that were only 10 Euro and it was GREAT. Subway is very easy to use as well as the trams. I purchased the Vienna Austria Pass and used it to ride the subway and trams as well as discounts to museums.
