“A wonderful surprise upon check-in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

When we checked into our room at the hotel, I was amazed by the size of the room. Actually we got a free upgrade and this was a two room suite with separate bath and toilet rooms. There was even a crib in the outer hall. The room could easily accommodate a family of five or more. As usual, the facility was very clean. The front desk was very friendly in helping us learn our way around Vienna. The U-bahn and S-bahn are within easy walking distance. They serve an excellent free buffet breakfast every morning. This is definitely a hotel to consider for Vienna.

Room Tip: We were on the forth floor. No view to speak of, but up away from any street noise.

We were 7 adult Danish "girls" sharing two large family suites. This was an excellent recommandation by the staff which in general offered very good and personal service. The hotel is quiet, nice and clean, and the breakfast is great! The hotel Is located within walking distance from a lot of the tourist attractions. However, the U-Bahn is just outside the door and very easy to use. We bought 3-days transport tickets at the hotel for 20 euros each - a very good solution for our group as we had a tight programme.

Room Tip: The 50 m2 family suites with two bedrooms is an excellent solution for group or large families.

The hotel is extremely convenient for access to the city both on foot (10/15 minutes walk) and by U-bahn ( lift station entrance directly opposite reception). There are a number of places to eat locally (Eatalico - Italian was very good pizza and pasta). Reception staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful when we had problems with our return flights (special thanks to Ivana). Breakfast staff were both very friendly and efficient. The breakfast range was excellent and constantly replenished. The hotel room (superior double) was very big with good sized bathroom and wonderful shower. Although no air-con (temp was around 32c in early September) there was a large, quiet fan in the room which was fine. Tea and coffee making facilities were also available in the room as was a small chiller cabinet. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will stay there ourselves on our return to Vienna.

Room Tip: Rooms on the rear of the hotel get the sun so will be very warm. Rooms on the front can be noisy fro...

Stayed at the Hotel Capri for 2 nights in late August of this year. The hotel is situated approximately a 10 minute walk from District 1 and most of the tourist attractions. The room itself was very large and nicely equipped. The free breakfast was terrific with several choices including meats, cheeses, breads among other choices. The staff at the front desk were great and extremely helpful when I was trying to get my lost luggage delivered from the airport. Overall, very pleased with my stay and would definately stay again.

This is a hotel notable for its excellent condition, location, service and value. One of the widest rooms I stayed in a European hotel, clean elegant rooms. Do not be deceived by the basic appearance of the reception area. The rooms are some of the best. This is unlike many hotels where you find a grand reception, and mediocre rooms!. Enter the room and this is a good entrance area with a large closet and hanging area. Ne door leads to the wide bathroom with old style large bathtub. No fancy toiletries. If you like bring yours. The other door leads to the bedroom. I have to repeat the word wide. My reservation was for a single use room, so only one of the 2 adjacent single beds was prepared, and the other one remained elegantly covered. A complimentary coffee tea maker is in the room, and they never fail to replace every single item you consume. Atypical to compare with many other hotels. Breakfast buffet has several varieties with beautiful seating rooms. Reception staff were always there smilingly helpful. No air conditioning in the rooms, so might be a little hot in Summer days?

Location is 10-15 minutes walk to the center, metro station entrances are on either side of its door, and metro elevator is almost opposite the door of the hotel. There are several Asian restaurants very close, as well as an excellent icecream shop just next door

Due to the rain and my short stay, I was recommended a city tour which is booked easily at the reception desk. It took us a minibus, then a bus to finally reach our actual tour bus!! But the tour itself is a nice introduction in bus to the city, and actually making an almost 2 hours visit to the permier sight of Shonb000 Palace. The guide to our tour on 13th September was super-excellent.

If the weather allows enjoy biking by the nearby city bike station, but beware that very often, you might not find a place to dock it in your destination station. In one instance I remained touring several stations around and around, not finding an empty space, until I finally gave up and accepted being charged the extra euros for extra hours until getting back and putting it back in the last empty space in the nearby docking station.

When I come again to this beautiful city, I will probably not search much further, and come back again to this excellent property

Spent the night here on our Austrian hols, wanted a hotel to stay in Vienna which was central, and this nice hotel with the metro station right out side the front of the hotel( if you use the lift) and just a short walk to catch the hop on hop off city tour bus more meet this requirement
The hotel it self is very modern with lovely big rooms TV and free wireless internet access and everything you would want in a good hotel, breakfest also came in with the price which was a bonus and was more then up to standard euro fare.
To sum up we were more happy with the hotel and friendly staff and would reccommend you stay here if you want a good hotel and location in Vienna

This hotel is well located between the Prater and the old town (walking distance for both).
Not too far to the airport express bus stop.
The breakfast is really good and well presented.

As in many "old" European hotels, the air conditioning is missing and can be really annoying during hot summer days.
Good to know also, the hotel has no bar. They can just provide some cold drinks.
