“Beatiful small church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We went to St Anna's Church for a classical concert given by a string quartet. The Church is strategically located tucked away in a small street of Vienna city center. This small church with thousands of years of history with 17th century rich Baroque interior is worth visiting but specially to enjoy a classical music concert in a small beautiful setting. It was a night to remember. .

“Beautiful Church”

St. Anna's Church has the Baroque architecture and it is a beautiful church with good paintings and ceiling frescos. I enjoyed seeing this church very much.

“Sacred beauty - well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

St. Anna's Church is on Anna Gasse right in the heart of old Vienna. It's a beautiful 17th century church with a rich Baroque interior. The Daniel Gran ceiling frescoes and high altar painting are particularly noteworthy. The relatively small size has a peaceful, hushed atmosphere and is a welcome respite from the busy tourist-filled Kärntner Strasse which is steps away.

The concerts there are highly recommended. On a recent visit my husband and I happened to be walking by the church when a concert performance was starting in a couple of minutes. The guy selling tickets sold us two at the student price (and, alas, it's been many years since we were students!) so we paid only 19 euros apiece for an hour of wonderful music by an accomplished string quartet - very reasonable compared with the prices of other concerts in Vienna in less beautiful venues.

We visited a lot of the churches and they are all worth a stop in. Beautiful architecture, statues, and icons.

“Music Exclusive at St. Anne's Church – simply breathtaking...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Gorgeous church with thousands of years of history, outstanding performance, music that you can listen forever. In the program that night were Mozart, Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” Schubert’s serenade and as a bonus Bach and Strauss. The evening you will never forget. Highly recommend.

The church is tucked away in the alley not far from the Opera. Dinner at a good Italian restaurant after concert is perfect way to end the day (when out of the door go left, it’s first on you right, just 2 seconds away, called SOLE).
