I was travelling with a group of friends and Vienna was my first destination. The hotel has a great location and thats its biggest selling point. A 2 minute walk to the Underground station and just a few stations away from the city center (Stephenplatz). The reception staff is friendly and professional. The triplet room was smartly furnished; the retractable partitions maintanied privacy when required. The Wi-fi was fast. Good breakfast. I would definitely like to visit again.

Why am I rating this hotel as terrible? For one single, but major reason: what's the point at staying at a hotel if you get the worse ever sleep in it? And the reason for such such a bad sleep is extremely simple: mattresses are really hard, to a point I have never seen in any hotel. It is nearly as hard sleeping on the carpet! Unfortunately the staff confirmed that all rooms do have a similar mattress, so there is no point of changing room here, my only solution was to check-out and go to a different place. I also noticed the duvet cover was particularly rough and unpleasant (70% cotton, 30% acrylic).

So in short, if you can sleep in such conditions, then this hotel, for its price and category is likely worth a 4 (Very Good) notation. Otherwise it's worth nothing.

The positive points I have seen to this place were:

- Easily reachable by train or underground (but not in the City Centre, so there's not in the immediate neighbourhood.
- The staff was nice.
- Room, whilst typical with a bathroom & WC being "cabins" is clean and nice.
- Room not particularly stylish, but I would have been happy in there.
- Air conditioning working to satisfaction.
- Quiet place, very quiet indeed (had a room on 8th floor not on the street, but facing some office building).
- You get free phone calls to landlines in Austria, nice (I haven't used the service) and well thought.

Things to be improved:

- Breakfast is expensive and not particularly good (poor/terrible would be better), but I didn't except much of it anyway.
- Internet access cabled or wired in-room but terribly slow on evenings.

Things I do hate (a part from the bed): they make you prepay your stay when you check-in, even on flexible rates (and then later reimburse you, but the foreign exchange commissions are likely to be for your feet). This is the second reason I cannot recommend this place.

Room Tip: Check your bed upon arrival, and don't hesitate to complain, and if your rate allows it go elsew...

My quick stay at this hotel was very nice. The staff were polite and attentive when I checked in. My room was clean with good facilities and had lots of space. This hotel is also well located for a short and easy trip to central trip Vienna. Highly recommended.

I stayed at the Novotel Suites for a short break in August. Booked the suites as was impressed by the one in Malaga

It's easy enough to get to - not right in the centre but close to metro. It's very well placed for exploring Donauinsel which is only a couple of metro stops away

The rooms themselves although follow the Novotel Suite concept of kitchenette etc, are vastly different from the Suites in Malaga. The rooms for a start aren't overly clean - especially the floors. Housekeeping seem to use a rather strong cleaner maybe to give the impression of cleanliness

The fittings in the room are cheap and the bathroom appears to be an odd pre-formed affair. The room makes you feel like you are in some kind of dated caravan set up

Good things are free wifi and the standard Novotel Suites offering of free in room entertainment

Again the one small free bottle of mineral water was not replenished for the whole stay (so if you had a family of 4 staying in one of their rooms for a week, you'd still get one tiny bottle of water for your whole stay)

I never book breakfast generally as in this type of hotel they are overpriced and lacking in quality so I can't comment on what it was like here - other than it was far too expensive (loads of cheap places to get breakfast in Vienna) and as the breakfast area was right next to reception you keep see in the mornings there seemed to be inadequate space for the people there - alas the number of parents letting their kids run around unattended (and deligthfully poking the bread rolls with their fingers) didn't help matters

Novotel Suites offer a few vending machines and some ready meals in the foyer. Avoid - overpriced and shops nearby offering better items at a fraction of the cost

In summary - OK if you get a good rate and you are only staying for a few nights. In future though if I were going back to Vienna, I'd probably spend a bit more and get somewhere cleaner

I was there yesterday and every thing is fine , location , service, big rooms and every thing.
But toilletes are smelly a little bit but no problem.
Location was so close to the metro as well.
Not many things on breakfast.
