“excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Wow, not that difficult to get to, however, worth the effort. My only complaint was that the garden of the tanks is closed in the winter.

“Out of the way but worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

The military museum is one of the best collections for nearly the cheapest price in Vienna. For less than five euros ( half that with the Vienna card) you get four hundred years of military history. The best exhibit ... The actual car and uniform from the assassination of Ferdinand that started WWI.

“Beautiful!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

The building itself is worth the visit even if you aren't interested in Austria's military history. The whole visit was fascinating for my husband and I. It's all in German, however they do have print outs in all languages, and you can get the audio translation to bring along as you browse.

“awesome collection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Supposedly the oldest and largest purpose-built military history museum in the world, and also holds the largest collection of bronze cannons. The museum focuses on Austrian military history from the 16th century to 1945, and has a wicked collection of figureheads from old navy ships. The audio was wonderful but its a little hard to find the audio stickers so pay attention for the little blue stickers. you also have to buy rights to take pictures. overall its a cheep, knowledgeable, and interesting activity!

“It's all in German but the building is beautiful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

If you're interested in military history, this is a good museum. If you can't read German, get an audio guide. The building was really beautiful and worth visiting even if you don't care about military things.
