“See the amazing view of Vienna from the Wiener Riesenrad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

After having a sumptuous lunch at the Schweitzerhaus, we walked around he park and had an amazing time. The theme park is quite small and nothing extraordinary but its history is quite grand. The highlight for me is definitely the Wiener Riesenrad. I wouldn't recommend it if you are crunched with time during your visit to Vienna. But if you are already @ the Schwietzerhaus (a must-go-to restaurant), then why not walk along for a few minutes.

“Bazaar amusement park!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

We thought it would be fun to take our children here to have some fun, but it was quite bazaar and very expensive! We have 4 children and you have to pay for every ride you go on, which adds up very quickly! Most of the rides weren't even operating , so we basically did one roller coaster, a fun house and some bumper cars! And, I have to say that most of the ride we went on would not be allowed in the USA!!!

I have to say that the best ride here was the Riesenrad! Old school Austria and a beautiful view to go with it!

“The amusement and rides combined with Wiener Wiesn Austrian Octoberfest but so much better!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Arrived at the Prater in the rain and tried some of the rides. The Ferris Wheel, its not the London Eye but is an authentic Ferris, which survived two wars and has been loving kept since 1897. Went on the carousel with live horses and organ music, a novel experience.
We were unaware of the Wiener Wiesn being on. At the ticket booth we were lucky to get tickets for the Friday evening performance of the Wiener Wiesn. The place was rocking by 7.15pm. the show, the crowd were mostly Austrian and wearing the lederhosen and fraulien dress. Daughter and I stood out like a sore thumb, but hey. The entertainment was great, the atmosphere electric and a great night out

“Heaps of Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

There's always something to do at the Prater. There are loads of rides some absolutely crazy, while others are quite fun. The rides are affordable between 3-5 euros also the food selection is great. There are plenty of stalls for some carnival type games as well as for food. The food servings in the restaurants are quite large for very decent rates. The park is open well into the night so it makes for a fun evening.
