“Excellent hotel as before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

We stayed there for the 2-nd time and again we were fully satisfied. It’s the excellent hotel with professional personnel providing high class service and ready to help or advice to visitors. At quiet area but not far from Vienna centre just 15 minutes by bus (bus stop 40A is just 100 metres down the street). Like to highlight a breakfast room, its interior, the staff there and the breakfast itself. In short we shall not hesitate to come next time to visit Vienna.

I left breakfast and went to the room. I came again and continued breakfast. They charged me for breakfast twice.
Very unfriendly owner when I checked out. This never happened to me.
Also, rooms are not very clean.
Avoid ! there are better choices.

We chose this hotel for a third time, above all for its location close to relatives dwelling in the 19th district. It is an old villa, the rooms you get are totally different and individual according to the floors and to where they look, the nicest view in summer being on the garden. The furniture is older, plushy style. Sanitary facilities are relatively new and perfectly OK. The walls of the rooms are hung with works by Jugendstil artists (notably Klimt, but also in part with original paintings). Lighting is unusually good, but the rooms tend to be somewhat small. Breakfast is OK, but the choice is far from abundant.

Room Tip: looking onto the garden

Traveled with 2 girlfriends for a quick trip in Vienna. Hotel Park Villa was booked for us by our travel agent. What a beautiful boutique hotel. Staff was excellent. Accommodations, spacious and beyond comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Expected to have to put a roll-away-cot mattress on the floor for a good night's sleep, but to my amazement, the roll-away was just as nice as any bed! Bathroom amenities were plentiful.

Don't forget to allow time to walk around this neighborhood! Simply beautiful.

Just a short subway ride into the downtown area and Palace and Gardens of Schönbrunn.

Room Tip: Some rooms had a balcony! We checked in at dark and didn't realize the view until morning. We w...

You would normally probably stay here if you have a reason to be in this part of the city (which my wife did), although even without that it is quite a nice place to stay while exploring Vienna.
Situated in a quiet, tree-lined street of lovely old villas on the boundary between the 18th and 19th districts, it is isolated from the whirlwind of downtown and is more like staying in a private house than a hotel, with the sounds of birds singing and urban domesticity wafting up from the garden rather than the roar of traffic or air conditioning. An 8 minute stroll through the Währingerpark brings you to the Nussdorferstrasse stop of the U6 line, so for 2 Euros you can then quickly get to anywhere you want in Vienna.

We booked a superior room overlooking the garden on the non-smoking second floor and it was very comfortable for our stay of 9 nights. It is clear from other reviews that the experience of guests with standard rooms is less favourable, so book a superior room if you can.

Another reviewer has called it their “home away from home”, and we certainly felt that as well, especially when sitting in the garden enjoying a late afternoon cup of tea while catching up on email and favourite websites or a little work. The staff that we saw on a day to day basis were helpful and efficient and always happy to prepare us a cup of tea to enjoy in, or looking at (depending on the weather), the garden.

To write more would be to repeat the other reviews, especially that of Fred H. I have disagreed with him on another hotel but in this case our experiences are very much the same.

Our only disappointment was the patchy room service, which was incomplete on several days.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room with a garden view

Stayed for 3 nights at this lovely little hotel. Location is approx 10 minutes from central Vienna by car. It costs approx €16 to get there by taxi. €41 from the airport. My company found this as it was close to my work place but I'm not disappointed. It has beautiful tree lined roads and is in a posh part of Vienna. No evening food but there are a few takeaways 13 minute walk away. Breakfast is good with real fresh quality food available. My room was a bit small but it was only a single, however it was very well fitted & presented. The whole hotel was very clean throughout and the staff very very polite & helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful city.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012

The hotel has a beautiful garden and welcoming entrance. Yet, I am not sure what makes this a four star hotel. Though there seemed to be few guests, I got a room facing the noisy street, where road works started at 6.30am and went on for two or three hours. The croissants at the breakfast contained the kind of fat that sticks to your gum afterwards - very unpleasant. There were no facilities to print, no business center, and the girl at the reception seemed at a loss when I asked her in the afternoon where I could sit to have a coffee. Only when the manager arrived, did he clear one table off the crockery to make space for me and my newspaper. The cappuccino was not made of espresso, but perhaps coffee or an instant mix. The rooms have beautiful high ceilings, but then the taste of the wall art makes you wonder. Rooms also lacked a booklet that mentions whether there is a fitness center, whether meals are on offer, when the checkout time is, what the wireless password is etc.

Room Tip: Do not take a room facing the road!
