“Wedding stay - excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel for our daughter's wedding in Vienna. We booked early and got an excellent 'summer deal' which included breakfast for 99 euros! We requested coffee/tea making facilities in our room which were delivered to our room on the first night. We also requested robes, slippers, ironing board and iron - these were delivered immediately. Basically, if you want something just ask!

Our room on the 5th floor was very spacious but unfortunately a little too noisy due to being located on the road side of the hotel. We asked to be moved across the corridor to the garden side and this worked perfectly for the rest of our stay.
This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel and cannot fault the service, location etc.

We found a brilliant restaurant, the Styrian, located just 200 m away by the Styrian Embassy (back of the hotel to the right). The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Another good meal was at the Lindor Belvedere Hotel again within walking distance 400 m away (over the railway bridge). We had a buffet meal for 12.5 euros!

The pool was at a lovely temperature and was a welcome relief from the intense heat.

All in all a second perfect stay despite the renovation work being carried out which didn't really affect our stay!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet stay ask for a garden view room.

We went here a couple of years ago. It was beautiful and extremely easy to get into the centre using the trams. I am particularly interested in art so having the Belvedere close by was excellent. We also enjoyed seeing Hunderwasser art.
We were treated so well that I thought that they had got us under the wrong booking! A great deal through ebay.

This hotel is quite a walk to reach the heart of Vienna, but close to the Belvedere.
We had a newly renovated room that was fairly quiet. The best thing about the stay was the complimentry breakfast, wine and snacks we got for booking the concierge level. It was located in the building across the parking lot but it was very spacious and was a great place to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing.

Room Tip: If you are staying on a work day you should request a room away from the street.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are very nice with comfy beds and everything you need. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. They really did their best to assure we were comfortable and answered our questions informatively. The restaurants services fresh in the tank Char. Seriously if you like fish you want to give Char a try. It will become your new favorite and they prepare it here perfectly. The restaurant staff is very attentive and desires greatly to assure a wonderful dining experience. After a long day of sightseeing it is nice to hangout, relax, and have a drink at the lobby bar. Its a great place to meet people from around the world. We will definitely be staying here again and I have already referred another couple to stay here. It is that good.

We just spent a week working in Vienna, and were quite pleased with this hotel. The front desk staff was fantastic--we arrived from the States at 9:30 in the morning and gave us our room! What a blessing after being up all night on the plane. Usually European hotels won't do that and tell you that you should have booked the night before. The beds are very, very comfortable with cool light-up head boards that throw a lovely soft light throughout the room. We stayed on the fourth floor, which has already been refurbished. Bathrooms are lovely and comfortable and they actually provide washcloths, which is a rarity in Europe. Air conditioning is good. There is a refrigerator in the room and adequate outlets for recharging on the desk. Good closet and drawer space. Ask for the garden side -- it is quieter than the Ungargasse side. Do NOT take the room with breakfast. We paid 109 euros, which is a very good price without breakfast for such a large comfortable room in Vienna. Others in our group paid 156 including two breakfast. It's a great breakfast, but not worth 22.5 euros each! There are several conditorei on Ungargasse that offer breakfast for 7 euros-- by far the better deal! The restaurant in the hotel is good, but they rarely have what is stated on the menu! We went twice and tried to order certain dishes, and each time they didn't have them. Other drawbacks to the hotel--there are no good restaurants nearby in the immediate neighborhood and they charge outrageous fees for wifi (16 euros) and parking (25 euros). If you're there on the weekend, you are able to park on the street. One of the biggest advantages to the hotel -- in addition to the great beds!-- is that it is conveniently located on the S7 with two trains an hour to and from the airport (Swechat). There is no need to u an expensive taxi to get to the hotel from the airport, It's also on the main route into the center of Vienna, one stop away from a U-bahn station. All in all, a good, comfortable hotel for the money.

Room Tip: Fourth floor garden sidel

We stayed at this hotel around new year day and enjoyed the very good quality of its rooms and service. The room was very large and quiet and we could enjoy breakfast and snacks throughout the day in the "club house". The swimming pool is not very large, but it was not crowdy and people at the reception allow access also outside the spa opening time. The hotel is not in the city centre. This makes it easier to reach if you arrive by car, but requires the use of public transports to reach the city main attractions. Anyway, the Vienna card is available at the reception. Not particularly cheap, but a good bargain anyway. I would return.
