We stayed in a double room for 2 nights. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast is wonderful, there is plenty of food, every one's tastes can be satisfied. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's near the city centre: 2 tram stops and 1 metro stop. Anyway, you can walk to the city centre: late in the night, we came back to the hotel from Stephans Platz by feet, and we didn't see anybody "dangerous". Good location, good prices, good hotel.

This hotel was exceptional value for us in January. We asked for a twin and were upgraded to an apartment. The breakfast was nice and the hotel was very convenient ot the city. The staff were exceptionally helpful. I would recomment the hotel to anyone.

We stayed in a very large family room in Dec 2005 for 5 nights. Room was well equiped with 4 proper beds, tv, mini bar & telephone. Bathroom was cleaned / restocked each day.
Breakfast room was very clean and bright. There was a wide range of food and the staff were very quick to replace items running low. Food on offer was mainly cold and to a very high standard.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and thre was good seating in the reception complete with free internet access.
Hotel is well located, about 1 minute from a tram stop and about 5 minutes from a metro. Stephansplatz is 2 metro stops or about 10 minute walk from the hotel.
It offers very good value for money and we would rate it at the top end of the 3 star rating. We will be happy to use again on our return to Vienna.

After a long trip around Austria over the Christmas and New Year period, four of us had booked into the Hotel Papageno on our last night. Although we did have a LOT of difficulty finding the hotel (when you come out of the station, you have to walk down Weidner Haupstrasse for approx. 10 minutes), we were pleasantly surprised by what we found - a clean, comfortable, well-furnished and friendly hotel! The rooms were very large and quite gorgeous, the bathrooms functional and modern, the buffet brekfast delicious and the location ideal (it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the very centre of the city). Overall, we were really pleased with our choice and felt we'd certainly gotten value for money!
