This is an excellent 3-star hotel for a short stay in Vienna. Located 3 mins away from the Praterstern metro line station, taking you straight into the centre, and also near the famous ferris wheel, the Riesenrad. It's also walkable to the centre, about 30 mins.
The hotel room was basic but with extremely comfortable beds and very clean. Toiletries not provided apart from some squeezy soap. The bathroom had a big bath, which was a bonus for a 3-star hotel, as usually only a shower cubicle. The room was quiet and no traffic noise from outside. Staff were friendly and helpful.
There isn't a minibar, but was a help yourself bar in reception but this seemed to be cold drinks only and no hot drinks available apart from at breakfast. Breakfast was a bit overpriced (9 euros each) but was OK - cereals, fruit, bread, cold meats etc. The dining room was cosy.
Would recommend this hotel for good value and very convenient location.

A bargain for what it offers: quiet and spacious rooms, clean, good breakfast, nice staff and a very cozy smoking room with couches, table and ambient music.
Very good connections to Vienna city center (Red line S1, 3 stops) or Airport (S7 on the 1st floor, about 20 min).

We stayed here for four nights recently and we were impressed by the cleanliness, friendly and cooperative staff and modern facilities. This was all topped off by a very reasonable room rate.
We recommend this hotel and will visit here again on our next trip to Vienna.
The hotel is a ten minute walk from the nearest subway at Praterstern. From there it's another ten minutes to the city center via two trains. Easy, but not ideal. We feel the location is a fair trade off for the attractive price.

Room Tip: The courtyard view we had was very quiet.

It is quite cheap hotel for the Vienna standards, with solid value for money level. We stayed in economy room on last floor, that was quite fine, except that bathroom, that I didn't like previously because of the tiny shower cabin, but it wasn't a big deal. I guess that due to lack of air con those rooms might be quite hot in the summer. Anyway, room was equipped with all the necessary items for comfy stay. Location was OK, close to Prater, but little bit further from the center. Even though we stayed there before, the guy who checked us in, tried to give me one of the really tiny rooms, that I didn't booked, that looked more like coupe of the train, than the room, but after my intervention he gave us normal room. The breakfast you have to pay extra 10 EURO per person, which would be fine if it not so limited for the price, it offers just cold cuts and sweets, not even one hot dish. For the price, it is really not sufficient choice. Everything else was just fine, and for a short weekend stay, it is reasonable place to be

We stayed in one of the rooms with garden view for 4 days / 3 nights.

The room is spacious and with a nice décor. A bit dark (the building at the back has a U shape and I guess we were on the north facing side) but not to be an issue as there’s plenty of lampshades in the room to create a nice atmosphere. The big issue was the SMELL! Perhaps the room used to be a smoker’s room before…not sure, bottom line is: the room stank. We kept the window open a lot but the smell was strong. Every time we got back in the room the smell hit us! Perhaps the smell was so deeply impregnated in the carpet that no matter how long the window was kept open the smell would not go away. That was a big issue. I would not want to stay in that room again. On the positive side we had a peak in the rooms with road view. Although the view is not amazing (just another building opposite) the room we saw had a nice wood flooring and looked much much nicer (pls note you pay more for these rooms). We could see there was plenty of light as those rooms have 2 windows and it looked much smarter in general. I would definitely consider staying in a room with road view as it looked very nice and hopefully it would not have a bad smell (I think the smell might have stagnated in the carpet…maybe?).

The location is quite good. The underground is less than 5 minutes walk and the town center is a couple of stops on the tube (equal a couple of minutes). Real good.
The area around the hotel is not particularly pretty or attractive, however seemed safe to walk around even late at night. You can also take a 15 / 20 minutes’ walk into town from the hotel.

The staff is very nice and the garden very pretty. The hall and breakfast area quite nice too.

Room Tip: Book a room with road view (as in not garden view). These rooms cost more but they are much nicer wi...

I stayed three nights, choosing the Kunsthof for its location (5 minutes from Praterstern and therefore a connection to the airport by S7) and good price. I asked for a quiet room and the one they gave me (416) on the top floor overlooking the courtyard was certainly that. Breakfast at €10 was good value. It's cold buffet style (no "full English", sadly) and not a massive selection, but good quality. Honesty bar is a nice touch though no-one seemed to be using it much during my stay which means it's a less "sociable" hotel than some. Good experience though, and would certainly consider again.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms overlook the courtyard.
